Over the course of Buffy, Spike falls in love with the Slayer, reacquires his soul to prove himself to Buffy and dies a hero in the show's series finale. He is subsequently resurrected in the first episode of the fifth season of the spin-off series Angel.
With the power of his soul as well as a powerful amulet that was given to him by Buffy before the final battle, Spike sacrifices himself to defeat the last of the First's demon army, the Turok-Han. By the end of the issue, Buffy comes to the conclusion that she cannot have a baby.
In a seemingly impossible event, vampires Angel and Darla had a child, the end result being Connor, a human with superhuman abilities. Connor is introduced in the episode "Lullaby," when Darla sacrifices herself to give birth to him, by staking herself in the heart.
Synopsis. Spike and Buffy are finally reunited (*sigh*) and lucky him — he's discovered the source of all her problems, and it's not Angel. Now Buffy must revisit the place where love was indiscriminate, the Scoobies were formed, and Hell's mouth was closed for good.
In the Angel episode "I Will Remember You," Buffy is reunited with Angel and Cordelia and introduced to Doyle when she shows up at Angel Investigations offices. She expresses her anger at Angel not informing her of his presence in Sunnydale but later helps him fight a Mohra demon.

The season 5 episode "The Body" is the saddest "Buffy" episode in its run and certainly one of the most tragic television episodes of all time. You know the premise: Buffy's mom, Joyce (Kristine Sutherland), dies of a brain aneurysm, and the whole gang has to face the devastating fallout of her death.

Buffy defeated the demonic Burns, but Xander decided to call off the wedding anyway, as the vision Burns had shown him of the future reawakened his old fears at turning out like his parents. He left Anya heartbroken at the altar.

The version of the character never grabbed the attention of the audience in the way Hannigan's Willow managed to, so it was no surprise that the role was recast.
Catching Xander and Willow kissing causes Cordelia to break up with Xander and for Oz and Willow to take a break before he finally forgives her and they resume their relationship but they take it slow. It also marks the end of Xander and Willow as anything other than best friends.
In possibly the best episode of Angel, nay, television ever, Buffy shows up in L.A. pissed that her ex had been in Sunnydale and didn't let her know. The couple is then attacked by a demon, and when its blood intermingles with Angel's, he becomes human!
