PewDiePie Becomes the First YouTuber to Hit 100 million Subscribers.
The 24-year-old internet star celebrated his major milestone with his humongous fanbase on a YouTube livestream, where he counted down the final few subscribers before hitting the elusive mark. MrBeast became the second mainstream YouTuber after Sweden's PewDiePie to have a 100 million subscriber channel.

In a statement, MrBeast (aka Jimmy Donaldson), said, “100 million means so much. I've been making videos since I was 11 years old. This number in a way represents everything I've ever done in my life and I'm so grateful to everyone who's ever watched a video.
It is also the only second individual category YouTube channel to cross 100 million subscribers mark, BBC reported. MrBeast has achieved this feat in just 731 uploads while T-series has more than 17,000 uploads. Before getting surpassed, PewDiePie was leading the category for almost 10 years.
Two channels recently managed to break the 100M subscriber barrier: Felix Kjellberg's PewDiePie channel and T-Series from India.
American YouTube personality MrBeast is the most-subscribed individual and fourth most-subscribed channel overall, with over 126 million subscribers as of January 2023.
PewDiePie's main focus is gaming, including live streams of him playing. He also does a lot of vlogging, collaborations with other YouTubers, and his life in Japan.
The most-subscribed channel as of December 2022 is T-Series, an Indian music video publisher operated by the entertainment company of the same name.
The only other individual YouTube creator to have hit 100 million subscribers is the gaming influencer PewDiePie, whose real name is Felix Kjellberg and who has 111 million followers.
