Thankfully, Namor yields. The two rulers return to stop the battle, although it's a bit late for everyone who's already died in this tragically pointless conflict. Namor returns to Talokan defeated, much to the disgust of his wife, Zamora.
The movie concludes with T'Challa's sister Shuri (Letitia Wright) taking on the mantle of the Black Panther after recreating the heart-shaped herb. She then leads the people of Wakanda in a fight with the people of Namor's home of Talokan, before forming a fragile peace with him.
In an emotional post-credit scene, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever's ending explained that T'Challa and Nakia had a son named Toussaint. The end of the movie finds Shuri visiting Nakia in Haiti where she performs an intimate ceremony on a beach, coming to peace with the death of T'Challa.

Okoye rescues Ross from being arrested; Val caught him communicating with Wakanda earlier in the movie. Shuri goes to live with Nakia in Haiti and burns her mourning clothes on the beach, thinking of her brother. In the mid-credits scene, Nakia reveals to Shuri that she and T'Challa had a son.
However, Nakia has one final surprise for her. It's revealed that she had secretly had a child with T'Challa before he died, and had been raising him unbeknownst to anyone, in Haiti. He's around six-years-old now and goes by the Haitian name Toussaint--but his Wakandan name is actually T'Challa, after his father.
So... Is Shuri the Next Black Panther? In short, yes. Shuri is indeed the next person to take on the mantle of the Black Panther.
Unlike most other Marvel Cinematic Universe movies, which have a mid-credits scene and an end-credits scene, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever does not have two post-credits scenes and has has only one scene in the mid-credits, so there's no reason to stay until the end of the full credits.

So it's no surprise that she ultimately becomes the new Black Panther after successfully creating a synthetic version of the Heart-Shaped Herb. But after defeating Namor and saving her people, Shuri skips her own coronation ceremony.
However, there is a mid-credits scene that is built around the emotional journey of Shuri (Letitia Wright) and a monumental discovery about her brother that had been kept completely secret from her for years.
Shuri managed to synthesize the heart-shaped herb and transport herself to the ancestral plane where she was granted Black Panther's powers, and with it, she also inherited the title of Queen of Wakanda, at least according to the ancient traditions of her people.
M'Baku and Nakia could still potentially become Black Panther in future movie entries in the MCU. Black Panther: Wakanda Forever's ending shows M'Baku becoming the king of Wakanda, while Nakia is living in Haiti with her and T'Challa's son, Toussaint.
The film ends with Shuri traveling to Haiti to visit Nakia. Calling back to a scene from earlier in the film, Shuri goes to the beach to burn her ceremonial clothing from T'Challa's funeral at the beginning of the film.
After getting restored to life, she joins the battle against an alternate Thanos. Following her brother and mother's death, she becomes the new Black Panther, defeating Namor in combat and forming an alliance with Talokan against the rest of the world.
Early in the film, Queen Ramonda tells Shuri, "There's something I need to tell you about your brother." Before she can, Ramonda's cut off by Namor's entrance and mother and daughter never return to this discussion.
However, Thanos arrives in Wakanda and completes and activates the Infinity Gauntlet, killing half of all life in the universe. As a result, T'Challa disintegrates along with Barnes, Wilson, Maximoff, and Groot.
The Talokan all have superpowers, as they all ingested the vibranium-enhances plant that turned them into an underwater civilization. They are more powerful than regular Wakandans but less powerful than the Black Panther, who is at around Namor's level.
Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is not a failure, but it will not breach $850 million before heading to Disney+. As the date for when it moves to Disney+ has been officially announced, it seems the second Black Panther film will not even break the $850 million mark.
Although the internet and fans on Reddit would have led you to believe Doctor Doom appears in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, the character does not make an appearance across the film in any manner nor is he even mentioned.
Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is officially the final theatrical release in Phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Namor utters his catchphrase from the comic books, "imperius rex," but Shuri counters with a triumphant "Wakanda Forever!" and blows them both up.
However, in Black Panther, fans were officially introduced to Shuri, T'Challa's younger sister. Shortly after her introduction, she was confirmed to be the smartest character in the MCU, even more so than Tony.

Shawver has revealed that a romantic connection between the new Black Panther Shuri (Letitia Wright) and Talokan's ruler Namor (Tenoch Huerta Mejía) was explored in some takes.
Though she's technically a prisoner, Namor speaks to Shuri as an equal. He gives her the bracelet worn by his mother, and shows her his capital city. Shuri witnesses a people much like her own, who respect their natural wealth and work together.
