According to social psychologists, most women are psychologically geared towards finding taller men more attractive because, as a result of their height, they are regarded as much more masculine.

According to the study, dominant reasons that females cited for preferring a tall partner are matters of protection and femininity. The results were that the frequency of sexual intercourse among men of lesser than 5'9” was more as compared to men who were above this height.

According to the latest CDC stats, these are the average heights for U.S. adult men based on age: Ages 20 to 39: 176.1 centimeters, or roughly 5 feet, 9 inches. Ages 40 to 59: 175.8 centimeters, or roughly 5 feet, 9 inches. Age 60 and older: 173.4 centimeters, or roughly 5 feet, 8 inches.
