Pros of Shaving Your Legs
Less body hair means that muscles are more defined and easier to spot. It also means reduced drag against water and air currents, so bikers and swimmers rejoice! Shaving your legs, or at least trimming the hair on them down, can make you feel cleaner and look less unkempt.

Shave in both directions
Shaving against the grain – i.e. up the leg – supposedly gives a closer shave, but it also increases the risk of nicks, cuts and bumps. It's best to start by shaving down the leg, in the direction of the hair's growth.
Shave in long, steady strokes
And when shaving your knees, try bending your leg to better shave the front of your knee cap, and then straighten your leg when shaving behind. Stop and rinse off your razor blade after every stroke to wash away shave gel residue and body hair. And, take your time to avoid nicks and cuts.
Not shaving reduces skin-on-skin contact friction, which means when you do activities that involve arm movement, like running or walking, your skin is much less likely to get irritated by the friction. This might lead to fewer skin issues like rashes and ingrown hairs.

There's really no set rule or right or wrong answer for how often you need to shave. In general, shave every two to three days for a smooth feel and three to five days if you aren't worried about a prickly leg.
