Jasper has the ability to sense and manipulate the emotions of people around him – a power that is known as 'pathokinesis'. Although described by
Stephanie Meyer tried to answer this question on her website, explaining that unlike the other vampires powers, Jasper's power is actually affecting Bella physically by adjusting her pulse and endorphins to calm her down.
At the beginning of Breaking Dawn, Jasper senses Bella's wedding jitters and temporarily calms her down. After Bella became a newborn, Jasper is constantly at her side, initially to change her mood in case something upset her; seeing how a newborn's temper and thirst are highly uncontrollable.
Edwards power affects the mind, Jasper affects the body. He physically makes you more relaxed or excited or whatever he wants. Bella is a shield which means she is unaffected by any mental powers like mind reading or Jane's pain powers.
As a human, Bella possessed a natural immunity to the mental powers of vampires. After her transformation into a vampire, she develops it into the ability to project a mental shield that protects others from the psychic powers of other vampires. Her Life and Death counterpart is Beau Swan.
Why Bella's Blood Is So Special In Twilight. In the Twilight books, it's explained that every vampire has a “cantante” or “singer,” a term used by the Volturi to describe humans whose blood is especially appealing to a certain vampire, almost in an extreme way, as if it was “singing” for the vampire.
She has no special power, but has a strong ability to love passionately. Esme is described as having caramel-colored hair; she also has a heart-shaped face with dimples, and her figure is slender, but rounded and soft.
Bella's gift is her very powerful shield – one that has been growing and working without her knowing since she was born. Because of her shield, she is protected from powers of the mind – that means that Edward (and Aro) can't read her thoughts, Kate can't shock her, and Jane can't cause her pain.
Bella gets pregnant after one night of passionate sex with her husband Edward the vampire, sex that leads to the destruction of their idyllic honeymoon suite.
Edward constantly fears for Bella's safety. Though he is scared when James decides to track Bella, he's most worried about himself hurting Bella. Edward points out how ridiculous it is that Bella is afraid of dancing. When she's not in any real danger, her courage seems to drain away.
In Eclipse, Alice explains that since her visions are no illusion of the mind, but rooted into reality, she can see Bella's future. On occasion, Alice's predictions come a feelings instead of visions if a certain future is far off and yet to be set in stone.
The newest member: Renesmee. Three months later, the Denali coven's member, Irina, saw Renesmee whilst on her way to Forks and mistook her for an immortal child: a forbidden creation wherein a child has been transformed into a vampire, and reported her to the Volturi.
Why did Bella's eyes change from red to yellow? All vampires start off with red eyes when they become newborns, but they can change to gold if they drink animal blood. A prime example is Bella who had red eyes when born into a vampire, then they gradually turned gold when she fed off of animal blood.
Why couldn't Edward read Bella's mind before she was a vampire? Because she aleady possessed the gift of blocking mental based powers even when she was a human. She actually inherited this gift from her father Charlie, though his was less potent according to Edward.
How can Alice see Bella's future in the Twilight books? Because she's psychic and has an eno connection to Bella which makes it easier for her to view her future.
With newborn vampires, their eyes are naturally a bright red color, almost glowing in the dark. This shockingly bright color is due to the former human's own blood still coursing through their veins. This is why Bella Swan's eyes become this color once she is turned into a vampire.
Breaking Dawn links sex and danger, at least initially. Before Bella becomes a vampire, sex with Edward poses a serious threat to her. Edward is afraid that he'll accidentally kill Bella, and she does indeed wake up covered in bruises after they first have sex. However, Bella doesn't seem to mind.
Fans have spoken over the years saying that Edward's lack of blood flow should make him unable to impregnate Bella despite it happening during the last installment of the series. In the world of Twilight, vampire women are unable to get pregnant because their body can not change to hold a fetus.
Bella falls in love with Jacob in New Moon. I think it's easy to understand why this fact doesn't occur to her. Bella has only fallen in love one time, and it was a very sudden, dramatic, sweep-you-off-your-feet, change-your-world, magical, passionate, all-consuming thing (see: Twilight).
Newborn vampires are always stronger than older ones, since their strength derives from the lingering human blood left in their body from their human life. A vampire's strength also enables them to leap incredible distances.
At the end of Breaking Dawn, Bella removes her shield to let Edward read her mind for the first time.
Renesmee proves to be the first being with a psychic power strong enough to pass through Bella's mental shield when she shows Bella her first memory she has of her—as a human.
Esme Cullen (born Esme Platt and later Esme Evenson) is Carlisle Cullen's wife and the adoptive mother of Edward, Emmett and Alice Cullen, as well as Rosalie and Jasper Hale. She enjoys restoring old houses and her physical age is 26. She has no special power, but has a strong ability to love passionately.
Benjamin. As powerful as the rest of the vampires from the series are, there can still only be one who beats them all. Even though he only makes an appearance in Breaking Dawn, Benjamin proves that he's the most powerful vampire introduced in the series.
Victoria's special ability was enhanced self-preservation, which is how she was able to escape being killed by the Quileute wolves and the Cullens in Twilight, New Moon and Eclipse. This ability was carried over because, as a human, she was a servant mistreated by her abusive masters.
