Nearly five years into their mission, Annie investigates the whereabouts of the Founding Titan in one of the cites at night and finds Kenny Ackerman. Hoping he will lead her to the real king of the Walls, Annie decides to follow him.
No, Kenny is not Annie's dad.
In the year 845, Annie set out on a mission to exterminate humanity within the Walls and retrieve the Founding Titan, along with her childhood friends, Reiner Braun, Bertholdt Hoover and Marcel Galliard, the wielders of the Armored Titan, Colossal Titan, and Jaw Titan.
Yes, in the anime and manga series "Attack on Titan," Annie Leonhard is the daughter of Kenny Ackerman. Why was Annie crying when Mikasa and Levi took Eren back?
This is despite the fact that Annie acknowledges later being aware that leaving Armin alive would likely lead to him being able to use his wits to identify her as the Female Titan and thus potentially jeopardizing her mission. However, her growing feelings for him caused her to allow him to live.
Annie is genuinely selfish, due to having been abandoned at birth and being used as a tool by everyone she has ever known, even by her adoptive father who wanted a better life for himself through her. She has no interest in protecting strangers due to being unattached to most of humanity to an absurdly high degree.
This means that despite Armin and Annie's feelings for one another being hinted at enough times, in the manga, there is never a confirmation of these characters' romantic relationship.
Bertolt Hoover
Bertolt has been in love with Annie since they were children, and both were Warriors from Marley alongside Reiner. It's unknown if Annie knows about Bertolt's feeling towards her.
Plot twist, she actually like Armin this entire time. They have this small heart to heart where Annie was able to find solace in Armin because he visited her when she was crystalized. She asked him why he did that and Armin confesses that he secretly likes her.
At the brink of death, Kenny confesses that he is Levi's uncle, explaining that he left Levi because Kenny viewed himself not fit to be a father. As a final gift, Kenny gives Levi the Titan injection that he stole from Rod. Soon after, he dies, sitting under the tree where he rested.
He screams and cries, begging his former allies to save him as they watch, with tears in their eyes. Bertholdt cries out for Annie and Reiner before he is consumed alive and killed by Armin. Armin has a nightmare about Bertholdt before he wakes up. He dreams that the Colossal Titan is crying.
If you read the manga, it does show how Reiner was forcing Annie to take of Marco's gear. Reiner, Bertl, and Annie were each saddened about Marco's death. Even so, maybe Annie was apologizing to Marco. Reiner probably wanted her to take the body and dispose of it herself.
They become sparring partners and Annie teaches Eren some moves which he later uses on both Jean and Reiner. Eren sees past Annie's cold exterior and respects her for her insight and combat skills. In return, Annie respects Eren for his courage to 'go against the flow'.
They don't spell it out, but the implication is that the branch of the family Kenny is referring to is Mikasa's family. Since he uses the term "branch" it's likely not his immediate family (parents and siblings). I figure they're probably cousins, perhaps distant ones, since he doesn't bother with names.
After this, Uri, with the knife still stuck in his arm, bowed before Kenny and apologized because of the persecution of his family and his frustrated attempt to create a paradise within the Walls. This heavily surprised Kenny, who wondered how a powerful being like him could bow before someone like himself.
Well, first of all Kenny admits to Levi that he is not father material. Which is also the reason he abandoned him. Obviously, that doesn't mean that Kenny didn't care for Levi at all, but we can assume that he didn't care that much.
Now, while he never did express his feelings towards anyone, nor did he end up with anyone, there is someone that was, quite possibly, his principal romantic interest – Annie Leonhart. The two share a mutual respect for each other, expressing admiration for each other's hidden qualities.
Bertolt and Annie were both Warriors from Marley, and Bertolt developed romantic feelings for Annie. It is unknown whether Annie knows about this. The two, along with Marcel and Reiner, are sent to Paradis to retake the Founding Titan.
Love Confession — Eren confesses to Armin that he always loved Mikasa, and can't bare seeing her love another man. Alternate Universe — Eren sends Mikasa a vision where Mikasa truly were to confess her feelings to Eren, the two then run away to live together as a couple for the remaining of Eren's final years.
While there are many characters that he respects, Erwin Smith is perhaps the only character that Captain Levi has truly loved, which puts Erwin at the very top of the list. Levi's loyalty and devotion to Erwin also indicate that the two were meant to be together.
Annie acquired her Titan powers while she was a Warrior candidate in Marley and was trained with using them by the military of Marley and by her father.
After all, Mikasa has been jealous of Annie before, and we see it during training. Mikasa is clearly aware of Annie's intentions and decides to intervine because everyone in the world knows Mikasa loves Eren and all that jazz.
Unfortunately, Annie and Armin do not get married in Attack on Titan. The romance between the two characters develops quite late in the story, and the author only briefly touches upon it.
Not much is really known about Annie after her defeat, she has cried twice throughout the series (the second time is a spoiler) but from what evidence we can gather is that she saw that her mission was a failure and was saddened by it.
Gender isn't really a part of the character's identity. As Tumblr user novyymir explains, “Hanji is not seen in any such binary-gendered scenario, and is referred to without pronouns that would indicate binary gender in all official sources.”
