If Dabi didn't know that that was Aoyama and if it was someone else, then that means that Dabi didn't want to engage and choose to ignore. He didn't want to fight someone, because he didn't know if that person hiding in the bush had a stronger quirk than him or not.
10 Kirishima's The Traitor: Empathy for Villains
But sometimes he sympathizes with characters that concern us. Most notably was the character during his first excursion with Fat Gum. This was a small-time villain, but his sob story hit Kirishima hard, so hard that he admitted to understanding and empathizing with him.

Many characters broke the fourth wall in the iconic horror anime, Ghost Stories, but few did it in such a fun way as Hajime Aoyama. He was one of the show's leads who had some of the funniest fourth-wall-breaking scenes in this scary and surprisingly feel-good anime show.
Why Aoyama Yuga's reveal works so well in My Hero Academia chapter 336 (leaked) The reveal of Aoyama Yuga as the real U.A.
According to Deku's mother, the inherited quirk Deku should've naturally received would've either been his father's quirk, breathing fire, or her own ability to levitate small objects.
So we now know reason why he was acting weird is because 1: Aoyama is the MHA Traitor and 2: he got his quirk from AFO as a kid for being born quirkless and he was told by AFO to befriend Deku so they can get close to get him — it is honestly shocking how all this was presented but didn't realize it.
