Inosuke was found by wild boars, who protected and raised him as their own. Having almost no memory of his birth mother, Inosuke considered a female boar as his mother. It was revealed in the
Kotoha learnt that Doma was eating his followers, and fled once again with baby Inosuke, with Doma in pursuit. Atop a mountain with nowhere else to run, Kotoha dropped Inosuke into the river below and was in turn consumed by Doma. Inosuke was then discovered and raised by a wild boar.
Inosuke was raised by boars for most of his life before the Final Selection.
Inosuke's Father Was Abusive
It turns out that Kotoha was in an abusive relationship with Inosuke's father. One day she could not take it anymore and escaped with her son. The two were taken in by Doma and his Paradise Faith cult.
In her final moments, she apologized to Inosuke for failing to protect him and tosses him into the river as an attempt to save his life. She was ultimately killed and eaten by Doma, who claimed to have devoured her to the bone.
Inosuke also has a crow named Dongorimaru, but we have never seen him with Inosuke. The actual reason. behind this is that Dongorimaru is afraid of Inosuke.
In her final moments, she apologized to Inosuke for failing to protect him and tosses him into the river as an attempt to save his life. She was ultimately killed and eaten by Doma, who claimed to have devoured her to the bone.
Kotoha Hashibira
Doma grew fond of her due to her beauty and singing ability, intending to keep her alive until she died of natural causes. However when she discovered that Doma was a Demon who was killing his followers, she ran from the temple to try to escape.
The only person he refrained from killing was Kotoha Hashibira, who is the mother of Inosuke. Doma grew fond of her and wanted her to live and breathe beside him until she died of natural causes.
She had no choice since she ran away from her abusive family. Sadly, Kotoha was too sharp and eventually noticed that DÅ ma was killing and eating his cult members. So, she tried to escape with a baby Inosuke but DÅ ma found her and shorty killed her afterward, even claiming to eat her down to the bone.
Inosuke's father remains unnamed and unseen. Very little is known about him, aside from that he was probably quite young when Kotoha gave birth to Inosuke and that he was a vile man. He was not just an alcoholic. He was also physically abusive both towards Kotoha and baby Inosuke.
Many people brush off Inosuke as yet another tsundere, but that reasoning is only partially correct. As a child, he was abandoned by his mother and coincidentally, was adopted by boars.
It was revealed in the Demon Slayer manga that the mask Inosuke wears was originally the head of the mother boar that raised him. It is possible that he collected the creature's remains after her death and wore her head in an attempt to fit in with the animals he grew up with.
From the anime series Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba comes a palm-sized figure of the feral child raised by a wild boar, Inosuke!
Inosuke's crow is named Dongurimaru, which is said to be a highly intelligent creature, unlike Inosuke, but Dongurimaru is hardly ever around to prove it. Amusingly, Inosuke tried to kill and eat Donguimaru several times, and the terrified avian now avoids Inosuke and is rarely seen.
As the manga has revealed, one of his stranger talents is his extreme resistance to poison, which presumably has something to do with his incredibly strong constitution. Unfortunately, this one comes with a caveat, because his body also has a similar resistance to medicine.
Doma is always smiling and acts very friendly, but this cheerful, caring nature is simply a facade. He states that he cares for his fellow Upper Moons and even cries when he learns that Akaza died, though, in fact, he doesn't feel anything for them. Even when he was human, Doma didn't feel any type of human emotion.
In a nutshell, Muzan, being the progenitor of demons, is not scared of Doma. However, he is irritated by his inability to decipher Doma's thoughts and feelings, which is the ultimate control he has over all of his creations. Upper-Rank Two: Doma is a nihilistic maniac and a misanthropic cold-blooded demon.
Does Muzan have a favorite demon? Despite the fact that Muzan. is always shown to have disdain for his creations, Muzan does in fact have a favorite. On that list is Naki, made due to a convenient blood demon.
Douma said that he had never felt emotions before, but his heart felt like it was beating now. He started doubting his belief that heaven and hell didn't exist and started blushing at Shinobu, quickly developing a crush on her. He told her that she was cute and asked if she wanted to go to hell with him.
Although Doma considered Kotoha stupid, her beauty and singing talent convinced Doma not to consume her and to simply let her live her life. However, she discovered he is devouring other followers and fled from the temple with Inosuke in her arms.
Kotoha Hashibira, born Kotoha Marshall, is the daughter of a Japanese woman and a retired American military veteran named Herschel Marshall. She was born a demon and goes on to marry Douma Hashibira and have a son, Inosuke Hashibira before passing away.
Inosuke meets Shinobu while recovering at the Butterfly Estate. To motivate him to continue his recovery training, Shinobu condescendingly mocks his inability to do simple things, prompting Inosuke to angrily train harder. As time passed, Inosuke saw Shinobu as a surrogate mother due to her kindness.
After the final battle
At the end of the chapter, there is a picture of Inosuke giving acorns to Aoi while she smiles. It is confirmed in the Volume 23 extras that Inosuke and Aoi did eventually end up together and that they have two great-grandsons, one of which is Aoba.
When he was twenty years old, Doma met Muzan Kibutsuji, who granted him power and turned him into a demon.
