The creature that plays vital role in Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore is the qilin 麒麟. It appears as a sacred animal with the gift of prophecy and is entrusted with the power to choose the next wizard leader.
Gellert Grindelwald's acolytes gave him this Qilin at Nurmengard, where he quickly slit the Qilin's throat after it refused to bow to him, with Queenie Goldstein watching. He then observed visions in its blood.
As such, it would be against the powerful creature's code of honor to bow down to anyone, no matter their rank or importance. Therefore, it is unlikely that the Qilin would bow to Newt, as it would be out of character for the creature and would not fit within its code of conduct.
The second Qilin was then recognised as the real one. Despite not being a candidate, it bowed to Albus Dumbledore who declined to accept the position.
According to an ancient tradition, a Qilin picked the next Supreme Mugwump by bowing to the candidate who was the purest of heart. Since Grindelwald was not pure of heart, he killed and bewitched the Qilin, so it would bow to him.
As he threatened Credence for lying to him, he pushed Credence one last time to the good side. Finally, Grindelwald charmed the Qilin back to life via necromancy in order to use her other power.
Credence delivers the Qilin to Grindelwald. After the followers leave, Grindelwald cradles the baby until he slits its throat and sees visions of the future in its blood.
Newt Scamander & Luna Lovegood
In summary, Luna's marriage to Rolf made her Newt's granddaughter-in-law: awww!
After a careful investigation, the user suggested that it may have been Alison's makeup that made the difference. They added, “[It] really changes her face in my opinion; she's still beautiful if not more so.” More research proves that Alison was pregnant while filming, which could also explain things.
The writer of the Fantastic Beasts series, J.K. Rowling has never publicly stated that Newt has autism or was written to be autistic.
Grindelwald slaughtered the newborn Qilin which Credence had kidnapped to harness its ability of precognition. He later revived it using necromancy and had a vision of the second Qilin that Newt had saved. Grindelwald took the reanimated Qilin to the walk of the Qilin to cheat the ceremony.
In The Secrets of Dumbledore's opening, Credence and his fellow Grindelwald zealots steal the Qilin calf from Newt and slay the mother in order to set up Grindelwald's plan to steal the International Confederation of Wizards election.
In 1932, Gellert Grindelwald slew a newborn Qilin and viewed visions of the future in its blood.
The Blood Troth was destroyed
As Dumbledore was protecting Credence rather than attacking Grindelwald, when their spells met, their Blood Troth broke.
While unconfirmed, it's possible the delay meant Katherine Waterston's Tina Goldstein wasn't able to be in as much of the movie because of scheduling conflicts that arose because the dates for filming were changed. It would explain why she might have been written out of most of the movie.
Initially, Newt Scamander was only mentioned in Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone as the author of the book Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them, which was used as a textbook for Care of Magical Creatures by Harry Potter and his classmates.

Personality. In the sequel, The Crimes of Grindelwald, she desperately wants to be with her no-Maj lover, Jacob but is unable to because of Rappaport's Law, a law that prohibits witches and wizards associating themselves with No-Majs. This has driven her to join Grindelwald's cause, despite Jacob refusing to join her.
It turns out that Credence isn't Albus' brother — he's his nephew. "The Secrets of Dumbledore" circumvents the timeline issues by revealing that Credence — or rather, Aurelius — isn't Albus' brother. He's Aberforth's son, which makes him Albus' nephew.
Grindelwald was infatuated with Dumbledore. Both ingenious wizards with somewhat extreme ambitions, the two became inspired to find the Deathly Hallows and lead a revolution that would destroy the International Statute of Wizarding Secrecy, allowing wizards to rise as benign worldly overlords.
Tragically, even though Credence was saved from Grindelwald's Avada Kedavra, he is dying because of his Obscurus (having survived so long only because of the powerful magic within him).
Dumbledore and Grindelwald took a blood oath to not fight each other. "Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald," the second film in the series, reveals that as teenagers Dumbledore and Grindelwald undertook a blood pact that wouldn't allow them to move against each other.
