Because
In Twilight : Breaking Dawn (Part 1), right after Jacob wanted to kill Bella's daughter and then stopped (imprint scene), Edward read through Jacob's mind, then broke his arm and threw him.
Even though Bella and Edward know that his imprinting on their daughter was involuntary, they still feel annoyed by it all. But what bothers them most is Renesmee's rapidly growing state, which Jacob hides behind his smiles.
He would most probably die depending on how severe it was. Jacob said in Eclipse that if a vampire bit him, or one of the other shape-shifter, it wouldn't kill him, but if he already had a cut of something to that affect(combined with the venom) that could be fatal.
In the Twilight Saga, the Cullens and Denalis, are “vegetarian” vampires (their own tongue-in-cheek phrase for their diet) meaning that they live on animal blood instead of human blood. So, the reason for Edward biting Bella is to turn her into a vampire.
When they phase into a wolf for the first time, they stop aging. There are plenty-a-plot-holes here BUT if Jacob maintains a regularly scheduled shape shift, he can essentially stay young forever. This is a good thing because Renesmee will be Jacob's age physically in a mere few years.
Edward also displays many stereotypical characteristics of abusers. First, one of his hallmark characteristics is his control over Bella and his attempts to isolate her from others. Abusers often use this tactic as a way of ensuring that their victims have no way to escape should they attempt to do so.
Wolf form: Jacob's wolf form is that of a large russet brown wolf. He has equivalent abilities to his brothers. He is shown to be very intelligent in both reasoning and coordinating others. He is the largest and strongest wolf in the pack.
Edward's got the upperhand in mind reading and MAYBE speed, while Jacob's got the upperhand in overall strength. I said that Edward might have the upperhand in speed but might not, because although he's the fastest Cullen, werewolves are faster than vampires in general, and it's not like Jacob's slow at all.
Billy Black Isn't A Werewolf In Twilight
The newest generations would only transform if a cold one, a.k.a. a vampire, was near. When Jacob's father was a teenager, however, there were no vampires in the area, so the gene was dormant.
By imprinting on Renesmee, Jacob has imbued her with protection from other werewolves in his tribe. Prior to taking her on as a romantic partner, Jacob would first act as an older brother to Renesmee until she grew up – which won't take long given her hybrid nature, which makes her age more quickly.
Bella's Anger At His Imprinting Is Hypocritical
While she's a little unsure about the concept of imprinting at first, she comes around to it after Jacob explains that even if they imprint on a young girl, like Quil, who imprints on a two-year-old, their feelings won't be romantic until she is of age.
While Jacob insists his feelings for Renesmee (Mackenzie Foy) will remain completely platonic until later in her life (as does Twilight author Stephenie Meyer), Bella (and most of the fandom) find their relationship to be unsettling at best.
More than just Bella, Jacob had another reason to hate Edward — he turned into a werewolf because of his proximity to vampires. Jacob could have stayed a normal teen who scoffed at Quileute legends his whole life had he not come in touch with the Cullens.
So in conclusion, Jacob was not attracted to Edward because cause He was a male. And then when renesmee got there he still would have not been attracted to him. Cause it would have been renesmee and his bond making him want to be around him.
Edward admits he is jealous that Jacob can warm Bella and he can't. As Bella thaws she asks Jacob why he is so much furrier than the other wolves.
The most prized member of the Egyptian coven, Benjamin was the strongest vampire and had the power of elemental manipulation.
The Twilight 6 Saga: Midnight Sun - Trailer (Renesmee and Jacob)
1. Felix. Confirmed to be physically the strongest vampire in the series, Felix out-muscles even Emmett in raw power. While he doesn't have mental abilities, his unique talent further supports him in battle, helping him perfectly anticipate and counter threats.
In addition to the traits he shares with his fellow vampires, Edward has certain abilities that are his alone. He possesses superior superhuman speed compared to that of other vampires and is the fastest of the Cullens, able to outrun any of them.
Stephenie Meyer established in Eclipse that Jacob was meant to be the Alpha of the werewolf pack, but chose to pass his position to Sam, because he didn't want that kind of responsibility yet.
He was the youngest member of the pack before Brady Fuller and Collin Littlesea. According to The Twilight Saga: The Official Illustrated Guide, Seth was born in 1992 and phased in 2006, which means that he was around 14 years old when he phased, not 15 like the series depicted.
Edward wasn't a great love interest, but one thing we can say for him is he never forced sex on Bella. He never pressured her, he wanted to wait for marriage. As a result, Bella's sexual awakening is slower and paced out with her own growing desires and wants.
Because what makes Bella extraordinary to Edward is that her blood smells so good to him. He knows that if he were to drink her blood and kill her, she'd be the best thing he ever tasted.
Bella doesn't fear Edward in the way she probably should – she never seems to be worried that he will harm her. Instead, Bella fears that Edward is just a dream. She's more frightened of losing him than of being near him.
