Prince Harry has said he had made public his rifts with the Royal Family and taken on the press to try to help the monarchy and change the media, the latter described by his father, King Charles, as a "suicide mission."
It was already known that Prince Harry would attend the ceremony alone and have no formal role as he is not a working member of the Royal Family.
Harry is still a prince by birthright and is still in the line of succession to the throne, but it isn't as simple as that. Harry and Meghan made the choice to give up their His / Her Royal Highness (HRH) titles, meaning that they won't be referred to by their "Royal" names.
Harry and Markle no longer receive money from Harry's royal relatives. The pair announced in early 2020 they would step down as working members of the royal family, and they no longer receive money from the royal family.
Despite being at odds with Charles and William, the heir to the throne, Harry has said he would like to see the monarchy continue. He told "GMA" co-anchor Michael Strahan in January that in speaking out, he hoped to be able to reconcile with his family.
In the event of Prince William's death occurring before King Charles', Prince Harry would still not be the next choice for King, instead that honour would move on to Prince William's eldest son, Prince George.
Princess Eugenie
Harry and his cousin Eugenie, 32, have been described as the “closest of friends”. She is believed to be the only royal to have visited the Duke and Duchess since they moved to California, and appears in the Netflix documentary visiting Harry in February 2022.

From 2018 to 2018, Harry's annual allowance from Duchy, which he shared with Meghan, was £5 million or $6.9 million. This paid for Harry and Meghan's public duties as working members of the royal family, such as wardrobe and travel, as well as private costs.
However, the situation changed when King Charles III ascended the throne on the death of his mother last September. William and Harry are the king's sons, meaning their offspring are now royal grandchildren and so entitled to be known as prince and princess.
Despite flying all the way from the US to London to be part of the event, Prince Harry didn't join his family for the famous balcony moment. Charles limited the list to working royals, which meant Harry and his uncle Prince Andrew weren't due to be part of the occasion.
Neither Harry nor Andrew—who also did not appear on the balcony—were given a formal role in the ceremony because they are not working members of the Royal Family, according to the BBC.
