Morbius takes place in the
Morbius's back is turned, Doctor Octopus experiments on a vampire bat formula. Dr. Morbius begins the experiment while also using sonic waves to get it working. The experiment becomes successful and it is revealed to be a red and black symbiote.
Morbius explains his new nickname by claiming that all the boys previously on Lucien's bed were also named Milo, which makes him the rightful successor of the moniker.
Michael Morbius was a scientist working for Hydra who helped Doctor Octopus create Anti-Venom. He would later recreate the Carnage symbiote. He became Morbius the Living Vampire later on but was ultimately slain by the Carnage Queen.
Michael Morbius suffered from a degenerative blood disease that destroyed his red blood cells. Attempting to cure himself transformed him into a pseado-vampire. As a living vampire, Morbius suffers from an insatiable thirst for blood that has forced him into conflicts with many heroes, usually Spider-Man.
Due to a rare blood disorder, Michael Morbius a world-renowned biochemist relies on forearm crutches in order to walk more steadily. When he finally creates a serum made from bat DNA, Morbius becomes physically stronger with superhuman abilities like echolocation.
Sunlight: While he can't be killed by sunlight, his eyes and skin are sensitive to exposure to sunlight. Mental Instability: Morbius has suffered through suicidal ideation of multiple occasions, desiring to end his 'unlife' when unable to cure himself of his condition.
Artificial Blood
In the film, Dr. Michael Morbius invents a blue, artificial blood that can be used in place of real blood for transplants. When he become vampirized, he uses this artificial blood to stave off his craving for real blood, but it only works for so long.
Morbius developed a craving and need for human blood, especially the radioactive blood of Spider-Man, which he thought would cure his never-ending hunger.
Blood Feuds
After his initial time as a misunderstood villain, Morbius became more of a hero which set him against the likes of, Daemond and the Caretakers; Vlad Tepes Dracula, AKA Dracula; Marie Laveau; Lilith and her demon children the Lilin; Wayne Gifford, AKA Basilisk; and Phillip Hayes, AKA The Rose.
Jared Leto's Morbius and Tom Hardy's Venom, the two pillars of Sony's Spider-Man universe, have yet to meet, so why does Morbius say “I am Venom”? Despite being set in Sony's Spider-Man Universe, Morbius is mostly self-contained, but the titular Living Vampire does name-drop Venom during the 2022 film.
Morbius 2 Is Not Confirmed
While there has been no official word to date on Morbius 2 being green-lit, the character of Michael Morbius is destined to feature in some capacity again, given his ties to other MCU and Sony-Verse characters.
While it's up for debate, Blade is the strongest out of the two. He has the experience, the physical skill, and has seen too many creatures like Morbius to back down at all. He's fought with Morbius before and, while neither really won, it was the heroes who still saved the day.
The Symbiote Saga
The Carnage symbiote was recreated by Michael Morbius under Crossbones' orders. After being injected with a serum with vampire bat DNA in it by Doctor Octopus, Morbius retaliates by throwing the symbiote on Doc Ock, turning into Carnage-Ock.
“Morbius lives in the same universe as Venom. This is the universe we saw Venom exit at the end of Venom: Let there be Carnage and return to at the end of Spider-Man: No Way Home. “
No, as far as we know, Spider-Man does not exist in Morbius' universe. So Morbius should probably be asking Vulture a lot of followup questions like, “Who is Spider-Man?” and, “Why do I care about him?” Also, Morbius has been the hero of the movie up until this point. He took down a bad vampire.
Ravenous Rivals. In his career as an enemy to the dark occult, Blade has battled nearly every formidable bloodsucker there is, from Dracula himself, to Morbius The Living Vampire, to the immortal who cursed him in the first place, Deacon Frost.
Though Morbius isn't a vampire in the traditional, supernatural sense, he has many of the same abilities. He possesses superhuman strength and speed, limited flight and the ability to hypnotize others. He also has a Wolverine-like healing factor that allows him to recover from otherwise fatal wounds.
All in all, without the many weaknesses of an average vampire, Morbius is perhaps one of the strongest and most resilient vampires out there. And with his constant battle against his own thirst for blood, Morbius is one of the most sympathetic and nuanced anti heroes in Marvel Comics.
Popular on Variety. Sony's comic book tentpole “Morbius” is one of the biggest flops of 2022. The film, starring Jared Leto in the title role, hoped to pull in audiences on the back of record-breaker “Spider-Man: No Way Home,” as it's set in the same extended superhero universe.
Milo has a similar idea, as he is about to stab Michael. It's clear that Milo is the stronger of the two as he has been feeding on human blood.
So, all in all, Michael Morbius gets his powers from the vampire bats that he's doing experiments on and somehow has an unquenchable thirst for blood that he just accepts. And at the end, he decides to just live with it.
In Morbius the Living Vampire #12, Blade is possessed by a demon and, against his will, kills Morbius.
If Venom and Morbius were to fight, Morbius could evade Venom's attacks until he's able to exploit Venom's weakness to fire and sound. However, if Venom is able to catch Morbius, it would only take a couple of well-placed blows to incapacitate him.
Plot. At a private hospital in Greece, 10-year-old Michael Morbius welcomes his new surrogate brother Lucien, whom he renames Milo, and bond over their shared blood illness and desire to be "normal".
