She hates Arthur due to his father killing her father and raping her mother and raises her children, known as the Orkney clan, to hate the Pendragons. She seduces Arthur through magic, siring Mordred. As in Malory, she is found in bed with Lamorak, but here it is Agravaine who kills her.
She brainwashed her by trapping her in a tower with mandrakes which made her hallucinate that all those she loved were against her. She then ordered to Gwen to kill Arthur by putting poison in his food. Morgana did this so she could get throne and then planned on killing Gwen if the plan worked.
Originally a kind-hearted individual, Morgana became evil after being corrupted by Morgause and being betrayed by her former-friend Merlin.
At first it seemed that Morgana had a crush on Arthur and she was always near him and supporting him, Arthur had feelings for her too and he thought that she was beautiful, time after she find out that she was the half sister of Arthur and Arthur was in love with Gwen.

She plots numerous times to kill King Arthur but is foiled in multiple books, however, she successfully seduces Arthur (who does not realize she is his half-sister) and births Mordred. In the final book she is killed by her son Gaheris, which undoes her evil spells.
A popular version from the French prose cycles narrates Merlin being bewitched and forever sealed or killed by his student known as the Lady of the Lake after falling in love with her. Other texts variously describe his retirement or death.

The decision to end the show with Arthur's death
“What we decided to do was to tell the legend how it was in many ways,” Murphy says. “And I suppose we're very sad that Arthur had to die, [but] that is a massive part of the legend.” This was the reason for the final scene, where we see Merlin in the present day.
Guinevere later returns to Arthur from Lancelot's castle and is forgiven (Arthur starts to doubt that Guinevere ever betrayed him). When Arthur goes after Lancelot to France, he leaves her in the care of Mordred, who plans to marry the queen himself and take Arthur's throne.
The fact that Merlin's magic is quite literally demonic (not to mention that he was created as the antichrist) should mean that Merlin was condemned as an evil character. But he was not: not at all. In the Middle Ages, Merlin's demonic origins did not hurt his reputation.
