A lot of the Death Eaters like Lucius, Bellatrix and Rodolphus had parents that were the original Death Eaters and supporters. They grew up with blood supremacy instilled in them from an early age. Most of their parents went to school with Voldemort so as kids they basically grew up with him around.
Lucius eventually became a Death Eater, one of the followers of Lord Voldemort, and even one of the most trusted servants, but abandoned that side after the Dark Lord's first fall in 1981. Lucius claimed he had been bewitched by Voldemort through the Imperius Curse and had not meant to serve him.
Draco's decisions were largely influenced by his parents, Lucius and Narcissa Malfoy. Both were Death Eaters and supporters of Voldemort. So, naturally, Draco wished to become a Death Eater himself. However, Draco does not really “have it in him” to be a Death Eater.
Not knowing whether Draco was alive or dead, Narcissa chose to lie to the Dark Lord rather than risk losing her son. When Voldemort asked her to check if Harry was dead and she realised he was, in fact, still breathing, Narcissa seized her opportunity.
Lord Voldemort charged Draco with making up for Lucius's failure, and he became a Death Eater at age sixteen but was quickly disillusioned with the lifestyle.
Peter Pettigrew, (a.k.a. Wormtail), is the only Death Eater known to have been in a House other than Slytherin (Gryffindor) while at Hogwarts.
Draco Malfoy attended Fred Weasley's funeral. He stood in the far back, careful not to be seen, and after he thought everyone had left, he lingered a bit. He'd never let on that he secretly thought the twins were quite funny, and he was truly sorry he'd been part of the reason that Fred died.
Narcissa Malfoy's Very Dangerous Lie
But she was also a mother, which meant she was willing to risk everything to make sure her son was safe. When Harry survived Voldemort's Killing Curse for the second time, Narcissa pretended he was dead so she could get to Draco.
In a whisper, she asked if Draco was alive. When Harry replied quietly that he was, Narcissa betrayed the Dark Lord and asserted that Harry was dead. She knew the only way her family would be reunited was as part of Voldemort's conquering army, thus proving she loved her family more than she supported Voldemort.
Of course she did. She felt his heart beating, and it usually means the person is alive. Why didn't Narcissa Malfoy kill Harry after she found out Draco was okay? She'd have preferred to kill Voldemort, who punished and humiliated her family and tried to get her only child killed by setting him against Dumbledore.
Because he and his family defected from the Death Eaters they were pardoned for their crimes after Voldemort's final defeat and did not serve a stint in Azkaban. He and Narcissa later had a grandson, Scorpius Malfoy, after Draco married Astoria Greengrass.
Dumbledore knew for sure that Lucius Malfoy is a Death Eater. The problem was that Dumbledore didn't have any authority to do something about it on his own and he didn't have enough physical evidence to prove it in front of the Wizengamot.
Having gone through the horrors of the second wizarding war as a Death Eater, Draco abandoned the pure-blood beliefs he was originally devoted to, and grew to become a better person than he was in his youth, growing more tolerant and accepting of the non-pure-bloods of the wizarding world.
Because he and his family defected from the Death Eaters they were pardoned for their crimes after Voldemort's final defeat and did not serve a stint in Azkaban.
Following his failure to obtain an important prophecy at the end of Order of the Phoenix, Lucius is sent to Azkaban for a while until Voldemort breaks him out, although he doesn't play much of a role in the series going forward.
Bill is viciously mauled by the werewolf, Fenrir Greyback. Fortunately, as Fenrir was not transformed at the time, Bill did not become a werewolf, though Madam Pomfrey is unable to completely heal his face, and he remains permanently scarred.
Malfoy spots Harry and casts a Cruciatus curse; Harry, defending himself, using the Half-Blood Prince's Sectumsempra spell without knowing its effects. To his horror, it gashes Draco's face and chest, spilling his blood everywhere. Moaning Myrtle flies off, screaming.
Voldemort intentionally made six Horcruxes, but when he used Avada Kedavra on Harry, he unintentionally created a seventh Horcrux. Instead of dying, Lily's love for Harry created a counter 'curse' known as Sacrificial Protection and saved Harry.
Why? The main reason is that Lucius failed to retrieve the prophecy from the Ministry of Magic, put that on top of all the other times Lucius failed, and it leads to him losing any clout he once carried within the Death Eaters. Lucius did that for his own benefit - he was trying to discredit Arthur weasley.
Knowing that Harry would be going this year, Dobby decided to protect the one person that meant the most to him by trying to make him feel unwanted by his friends and ultimately disillusioned from going back to school. Harry was a legend in the Wizarding World because he managed to stop Lord Voldemort as a baby.
We know the Elder Wand allied with Draco Malfoy, who disarmed rather than killed Albus Dumbledore. It later switched its loyalty to Harry Potter during his escape from Malfoy Manor.
Harry would later risk his own life to save Draco from the Fiendfyre. Narcissa Malfoy would then lie to Voldemort – an extremely dangerous person to lie to – and spare Harry to hear that her son is alive. Thanks to all of this, Voldemort would be defeated and peace would return to the wizarding world.
He starts Hogwarts and is sorted into Gryffindor in 1989. Fred and his twin soon become known among the Slytherins as the Weasley Terrors. They come into possesion of the Marauders Map.
