Every moment the audience views Makima from Denji's eyes, she is portrayed as beautiful and unobtainable. She does everything in her power to make sure it stays that way, giving him a reason to need her. Right from Chainsaw Man's beginning, Makima is relying on her likability to get everything she'd ever wanted.
Psychic Powers: Makima has rather strong psychic powers that could be used to brutally kill other people as if they were killed by an invisible force as she forms several symbols on her hands to do so and is able to brutally crush people on the inside out or just murdering them by looking at the target and using her ...
Perhaps the most iconic of her powers is her ability to control, command, and manipulate, which is very much in tune with her character, being the Control Devil and all. Her ability, which extends to both animals and humans, allows her to manipulate others into forming devil contracts with her.
Makima. The woman who "saved" Denji. In his eyes she is an angel, so much so that the 3rd end credits show her in a divine light from Denji's perspective. She's particular about what she expects from him, and is rather assertive - one of Denji's favorite traits in a woman.
Chainsaw Man's love interest is Makima.
The two meet after Denji takes over the mantle of Chainsaw Man, and he instantly falls in love. Not only is she attractive, but before that, no person had ever been as good to Denji as her.
When introduced, Reze initially appears to be a kind and gentle girl who has a crush on Denji soon after meeting him, taking interest in him at first sight and was portrayed to be as somewhat enthusiastic, as shown when both Denji and her have a drink of coffee at the Café she had worked at.
Denji's love for Makima and her apathy towards him would prove key to her defeat. Makima was ambushed by Denji with a chainsaw, as he realized that she only remembered people she was interested in by their scents, and thus would not be able to recognize Denji because she had never memorized his scent.
Makima's true goal, however, was to be together forever with Pochita and lead a happy life with him. She always yearned for something like a family, being incapable of forming equal and meaningful relationships as the Control Devil.
Power eventually develops strong affection for Denji, even going so far as to deny Makima's wishes and put her own life on the line to keep him safe. Power considers Denji to be her very first friend, and so values him highly.
3 Makima Does Not Like Denji
She dislikes Denji and thinks he does not deserve to be united with the Chainsaw Man and only views him as a means to an end, which is why she decides to be nice to him. Makima plans to keep Chainsaw Man under her influence and use him to eradicate every devil from the world.
Trivia. Due to her actions in Chapter 81-82, Makima cemented herself as one of the most evil villains ever graced in Shonen Jump history to the point that even most of the people comparing her to the likes of Sōsuke Aizen from Bleach or Griffith from Berserk.
Readers of the Chainsaw Man manga already know that the real big villain of Part 1 is Makima, who is actually the Control Devil.
As revealed in the manga, Makima is the Control Devil, meaning that she does not really age. As for her physique, she seems to be in her early twenties, somewhere around 22–25 years old. But, if we were to guess the Control Devil's age, we'd have to say she's at least 79 years old.
She is only obsessed with his powers and considers him to be her pet, and the show made us witness how much Denji enjoys that. As shown in Chainsaw Man, Makima certainly does not love Denji at all, and this has to sink into the minds of all the firm believers of the rumor that she loves him.
Makima is unbelievably strong, and seeing her get emotional would be like watching the strongest villains of anime, like Frieza or Madara shedding tears. But in one instance in the manga, we can actually see Makima getting emotional and crying. This happens in chapter 39 when she goes to watch a movie with Denji.
In Chapter 12 of Chainsaw Man manga, Power explains that she uses breast pads to make her chest appear larger.
Tropes. DenMaki is the het ship between Denji and Makima from the Chainsaw Man fandom.
Gojo and Makima are often paired because of their similarities. Some GojoKima fanwork portray them hanging out along with their proteges in a mall setting, eating together in a restaurant or having a drink in the bar (though Gojo has little alcohol tolerance compared to Makima).
Power has always had a deep fear of Makima, likely due to her prowess as the Control Devil. Even now, Makima's unsettlingly calm commands cut through Power like butter. Makima offers Power a chance to be her pet again if she hands over Chainsaw Man, immediately turning the worry in Power's eyes to excitement.
Power begins boasting about her high IQ, continuously lying and increasing its height. Suddenly, Himeno grabs Denji from behind, and kisses him deeply.
In a deeply disturbing sequence, Himeno gets ready to go to bed, where she actively tries to seduce Denji and persuade him to have sex.
However, after this deception was revealed, Reze admitted that she did have genuine feelings for Denji and the two almost ran away together before Makima killed her. Makima was Denji's first and last love, the manipulative Control Devil who only cared about Denji for Chainsaw Man.
While it appears at the start of the series that he is chasing a dream simply to touch women, what he has always craved subconsciously is intimacy, a sense of connection with others, and meaningful relationships.
Pochita (ポチタ, Pochita?) is the Chainsaw Devil (チェンソーの 悪 あく 魔 ま , Chensō no Akuma?) who embodies the fear of chainsaws. He was the original Chainsaw Man (チェンソーマン, Chensō Man?) prior to becoming Denji's heart. He is the overarching titular protagonist of the series.
Makima is a Public Safety Devil Hunter, meaning that she is tasked by the government to hunt down and kill devils that are causing problems in Tokyo. She is assigned to kill the Zombie Devil, but is surprised to find that the Denji + Pochita combination of Chainsaw Man has done it first.
