As soon as Boba Fett showed his mask on the big screen, Star Wars fans were obsessed with the tribe of warriors that created him. Many fans are aware that the Mandalorians did battle with the franchise's main heroic faction, the Jedi Order.
Back to the canon
Although “Mandalorians hate Jedi” is often stated in Star Wars fandom, it's too general to actually be true. It's more accurate to say that some of the more than four million Mandalorians hate Jedi and some have animosity towards them, but there is little evidence that most despise the Jedi…..
The Mandalorian Clans would continually find themselves allied to the Sith as they were now considered the enemy of both the Galactic Republic and the Jedi Order.
To Din, "This Is the Way" embodies what it means to be a Mandalorian, and it includes a code of traditions and ideals they all must uphold.
Over time, a gentle headbutt consisting of a tapping of helmets together at the forehead, came to be a stand-in gesture for a kiss among Mandalorians adorned in full armor. The practice led to the development of the slang term "Keldabe kiss," derived from the name of Mandalore's capital city.
According to The Way, Mandalorians are not allowed to remove their helmets. If another being sees a Mandalorian warrior without their helmet, they're forbidden from ever donning it again. This rule seems relatively straightforward, if extremely cumbersome, but its enforcement is harsh.
Notably, the Dagoyan Masters of Bardotta regarded the Jedi as thieves and kidnappers because of that practice. Some Mandalorians, most notably members of Death Watch, held a grudge against the Jedi for their perceived crimes against Mandalore during the Mandalorian-Jedi War.
There has been no Sith, as powerful, meticulous, nor as evil as the Emperor himself, Darth Sidious. As previously mentioned, Sidious trained in the Dark Side by Darth Plagueis before Sidious killed Plagueis in his sleep, making Sidious a Sith Master.
According to the ancient way of Mandalore, a Mandalorian cannot remove his/her helmet in front of another living being. If he/she does that, then they will no longer be a Mandalorian. That's why Din agreed to take his helmet off in front of IG-11 in season 1, as he was just a droid.
Fett is normally aware of his surroundings - which his suit's helmet augments by allowing him to see in all directions - but may have missed Solo because he was so preoccupied with Star Wars protagonist Luke Skywalker due to his hatred of Jedi, which began when he watched his father decapitated by Jedi Master Mace ...
However, Mando's greatest weapon was the Darksaber, which he earned by defeating Moff Gideon. Mando got the Darksaber in The Mandalorian's Season 2 finale, and fans got to see it in action during The Book of Boba Fett. Unfortunately, there was a problem. It was too heavy for Mando to effectively use.
This is the most well-known of the Jedi rules. Love leads to attachment and attachment leads to strong emotions, which are the path to the Dark Side of the Force. Because of this, Jedi are forbidden to fall in love. This, of course, doesn't stop Anakin Skywalker from falling in love with Padmé.
Boba is a clone of Jango Fett, whom was Mandalorian. It's a matter of prejudice towards Clones.
Is Grogu Yoda? According to the events of "The Mandalorian" so far, Grogu and Yoda are not the same character. They are simply from the same species.
Jedi and Mand'alor
Tarre Vizsla was a Force-sensitive human male who, as a child, was inducted into the Jedi Order around 1050 BBY, becoming the first Mandalorian to do so.
Master Yoda failed Anakin Skywalker in Star Wars: Episode II — Attack of the Clones, and it resulted in the destruction of the Jedi Order. Master Yoda is one of the most revered characters in the Star Wars universe, and for good reason, but he ultimately failed in stopping the rise of the Sith.
Mandalorians are not one particular race of species, and their religion is a way of life all may join if they are willing to follow the code, so the point of the helmet is to signify that they are in fact Mandalorian and not what the appear as underneath the helmet.
Even though Kylo Ren uses a red lightsaber, harnesses the dark side of the Force, and wears a cape, he is not a Sith. Because of that, he can never hold the title of Darth. Instead, he was just a chaotic mess of the dark side (until he eventually found his way back to the light).
Yet, Darth Gravid was far, far different in many respects. He was one of the few Sith Lords to show actual respect for his Jedi opponents. Gravid was a powerful Sith Lord dedicated to his cause. However, he also believed that strict adherence to the dark side would be the Order's eventual undoing.
As the first Dark Lord of the Sith, Ajunta Pall founded the first Sith Empire and expanded it onto other worlds. The Sith took over the planet Ziost and created it as their capital and as Pall's new home.
How do Mandalorians shower? Bounty hunting is a dirty business, and it's unlikely that basic hygiene is off the table for the Mandalorian, tradition notwithstanding. While this hasn't been confirmed outright, we can also presume that Mandalorians also shower or bathe in private, sans helmet.
And while there are many rules guiding Mandalorians and showing them “the Way,” the most iconic aspect of their culture is related to their armor. That's because, as Season 1 of The Mandalorian underlines, true Mandalorians are forbidden from ever taking their helmets in front of others.
That's because this series has established a rule unknown in any previous Star Wars property: Mandalorians cannot remove their helmets in front of any other person. If they do, they are no longer considered a Mandalorian.
