I believe beast boy only calls Raven mama after they kissed. Maybe a term of “my future children's mother” like how dad calls mum in a family. I think its cause he loves her and has a quite obvious crush on her and its really cute too.

Personality. As a young boy, Garfield was outgoing and energetic, yet also mature enough for an 8-year-old to help his mother to care for animals. He worshipped heroes, and after a blood transfusion from Miss Martian saved his life, he began to consider her his "blood sister".
Raven apparently still holds deep feelings for Beast Boy, as shown in "Colors of Raven", when her passionate side shows immediate attraction towards him, promptly kissing him constantly, to Beast Boy's apparent delight. Raven gives Beast Boy one final peek at her legs.
Beast Boy was bitten by one of the monkeys and contracted a serious illness called Sakutia. To save him, his parents attempted to cure him with a new serum, which bestowed him with his shape-changing abilities. As a side effect, his skin, hair, and eyes turned green.
The Beast Boy of Titans looks like a normal guy with pale skin. True, he still sports green hair, but the rest of him has a regular pigment. Robin is the leader and one of the five founding members of the Teen Titans. He is the main protagonist of the series, as well as Batman's sidekick. He is also Starfire's main love interest and later boyfriend in the series finale.
