Facebook Account Temporarily Locked for Security Reasons
Sending too many friend requests or messages. Using automated software and bots. A sudden increase in posting frequency. Having a fake account, using a fake name, or impersonating someone (debatable).
What is this? If you are stuck on a restricted account, don't panic. You can easily remove the restriction by visiting the review page on your profile. Next, you must submit your account and personal details, including your ID. Facebook will review your case and, with time, remove the restrictions on your account.
The length of a temporary block by Facebook depends on the severity of the violation and the user's history on Facebook. It has been observed that a temporary block may last as little as a few hours, but could also last up to 30 days.
Temporary blocks from sharing posts on Facebook can happen if you've: Posted a lot in a short amount of time. Shared posts that were marked as unwelcome. Shared something that goes against our Community Standards.
After 10 failed login attempts, your account will be locked, and you will need to wait one hour before trying to log in again.
Temporary: Facebook imposes a temporary restriction that may range from a few hours to 21 days. Permanently: If Facebook believes the violation to be particularly severe, a permanent block may be implemented, in which your account is permanently deleted and you are unable to access the account ever again.
You have landed in Facebook jail when: You cannot post on your timeline or any pages and groups. You cannot like or leave comments on anyone else's posts or pictures. You are blocked from accessing your account.
What happens when Facebook disables my account? For most violations, if you continue to violate the Community Standards, despite repeated warnings and restrictions, we'll disable your account. For example, we disable accounts created to get around our restrictions, or post content tied to severe safety risks.
After you complete a security check, you'll have to wait 24 hours to log into your Facebook account. During this time, your account will still be visible to your friends on Facebook, but you won't be able to access it.
If you can't log into Facebook account, it might because of the following reasons: forgot the Facebook log in details, account hack, Facebook bugs, cache or cookie problems, browser issue, malware/virus infection, the account is disabled by Facebook, etc.
