It came up with a preposterous plan. to counter the demon's power. He hit himself so hard in the head. that he temporarily lost his hearing.
Muffling all sound meant he had no fear of being controlled by the Flute Demon, but doing so might have also damaged his hearing permanently, potentially explaining his constant shouting as a result of his inability to hear how loud he is.

Seeing this and seeing the demon use his flute, Rengoku instantly slams his hands into his ears so hard that he ruptures his ear drums. He soon reveals that his fallen demon slaying comrades left a final message to warn him about the demon's flute, and quickly made the decision to get rid of his hearing.

7 Kyojuro Rengoku, The Flame Hashira
Rengoku is easily one of the most lovable Hashira in Demon Slayer. This is why it's a shame that he succumbed to the wounds that he suffered in his fight against Akaza.
UzuKyo is the slash ship between Tengen Uzui and Kyojuro Rengoku from the Demon Slayer fandom.
But Demon Slayer introduced Tanjiro's main love interest briefly, and she doesn't really return until the end of the season, when she is fighting against him. His love interest that develops as the story goes on is Kanao Tsuyuri and their romance is quite adorable.

The fact is, Kyojuro Rengoku is just a really good guy. He's the type of character who is easy to relate to. His strength of will and determination despite his trials, his firm belief in his ideals, alongside his strength.
