Galadriel, however, didn't want to leave. She had already refused to leave once because she wanted to continue hunting Sauron. That's why she decided to lie about Sauron's identity -- so that she could go after him.
There is also the fact that, among the Elves, Galadriel was the only one who knew a few things about Sauron, as all of the other Elves that spent their entire lives searching for him were given the opportunity to go to Valinor. In that regard, Gil-galad, Elrond, and Celebrimbor didn't know anything about Sauron.
According to Tolkien's writing, Galadriel didn't fight in the War of Wrath because she didn't believe Morgoth could be defeated without the help of the Valar.
Galadriel did meet Annatar and was deceived because Sauron was a master of disguise and enchantment.
Though Galadriel doesn't share her news, Elrond is suspicious and wanders out to find the genealogy scroll that leads him to figure out that Halbrand is Sauron. Unfortunately, he finds this news too late, arriving back at the workshop just as the elven rings (the rings of power) are being completed.
It is therefore unlikely that Galadriel would have been able to save him or turn him towards the light if she had agreed to rule beside him. She even tells him this herself when she whispers: “No penance could erase the evil you have done.”
The Dark Lord easily overpowers her, and after Galadriel rejects his proposal to join him, he traps her in illusions and leaves her to drown in the water.
Tolkien suggested that Sauron did not discover where the Three were hidden, though he guessed that they were given to Gil-galad and Galadriel. In the published The Lord of the Rings, Gil-galad received only Vilya, while Círdan was the direct recipient of Narya from Celebrimbor.
So why didn't he do anything about it? When Frodo finally arrived at the lands of Mordor, Sauron likely knew about his presence. He was well aware that someone was traveling with his One Ring and also that a Hobbit was found creeping through his home, so it would seem obvious to take this as a major concern.
In Lord of the Rings, Galadriel was not shown as a warrior, which makes the comparison with the character depicted in The Rings of Power jarring and difficult to reconcile. There's considerable contention surrounding the idea that she was a warrior with many battles under her belt.
Portrayal of Galadriel in The Rings of Power is divisive among the fandom. Her character is criticized for many different reasons, from her self-righteousness and abrasive personality, to her inability to detect the very evil she is hunting right under her nose.
Why Galadirel Had To Say No To The Ring. Galadriel desired her own kingdom to rule but was not willing to submit to the darkness to obtain it. Her decision meant that she would have to commit to a much more humble lifestyle but she accepted it in order to contribute to the greater good of Middle Earth.
In The Lord of the Rings, it is said that had Galadriel chosen to use her powers for evil instead of good, she would have been even more destructive and terrifying than Sauron himself. Galadriel was the greatest and most powerful of all Elves in Middle Earth in the Third Age.
Galadriel has very strong magical powers, and she is said to be the greatest of the Ñoldor after Fëanor. The majority of her powers come from her Ring of Power, Nenya, the Ring of Water.
They are: Narya, the ruby-encrusted Ring of Fire; Nenya, the adamant Ring of Water; and Nilya, the sapphire-emblazoned Ring of Air.
Sauron appears most often as "the Eye", as if disembodied. Tolkien, while denying that absolute evil could exist, stated that Sauron came as near to a wholly evil will as was possible.
Ring-maker
Sauron, in disguise, deceived Celebrimbor and the smiths of Eregion into making Rings of Power, and then secretly made the One Ring to gain control over all the others, and so dominate Middle-earth.
After much speculation and enough fan theories to fill a dwarven mine, “Rings of Power” fans finally got their answer on Sauron's true identity in the prequel series — and it's Halbrand (Charlie Vickers).
Isildur took the hilt shard of his father's sword and cut the One Ring from Sauron's finger. Ignoring the advice of Elrond and Círdan, lieutenant of Gil-galad, Isildur did not destroy the Ring; instead he claimed it as a weregild for the deaths of his father and brother, and an heirloom for his House.
The Three were untouched by Sauron in their making and were made for preservation so they didn't negatively affect their bearers.
Although Sauron's body was destroyed in the Fall of Númenor, his spirit was able to bear the Ring back to Middle-earth and he wielded it in his renewed war against the Last Alliance of Elves and Men between SA 3429 and 3441.
The series produced by Amazon Prime features actors who are not particularly famous. Therefore, Galadriel is not played by Cate Blanchett, but by Morfydd Clark, a Welsh actress who will give life to a younger Galadriel.
Thus, Galadriel's dark form in Jackson's The Lord of the Rings personified what would have occurred had the Lady of Lothlorien given in to temptation and taken the One Ring for herself. She would have succumbed to evil because the Ring was indomitable, even with her power.
When Galadriel kissed Gandalf to heal him, she transferred a portion of her life force in order to allow the Wizard to recover. This action, done in haste, exhausted her. Couple that with the evil presence of Sauron, the reason for her collapse becomes evident.
