Gyomei, an emotional and gentle person by nature, was extremely sad that he was not able to save more lives. Even after the accusation, his concern was that he wasn't able to protect other kids that the demon devoured.
The gentle giant of the group, Stone Hashira Gyōmei Himejima has a huge body and an even bigger heart. He is very sensitive, seen crying almost constantly, and soft-spoken.
The secret to Gyomei's powers is that they are governed, regulated and enhanced by his emotional capabilities. So in a sense, his crying is a sign of his strength rather than weakness. As a gentle giant, Gyomei's character can be seen as a deconstruction of what makes a person strong in Demon Slayer.
He is extremely emotional and caring and is always concerned for those around him. He felt concern for Nezuko for being born and turned into a demon, and for Tanjiro for being so weak and felt that killing them both would free them from their misery because he could not bare to watch their suffering(according to me).
Gyomei's father died of a disease while his mother died while giving birth to him. Some time later he was blinded due to a fever. In spite of this blindness, Gyomei had a keen sense of "sight" and was able to avoid malicious actions that some people around him do (trying to make him trip, throwing stuff at him etc.).
Gyomei's Nichirin weapon is quite peculiar, as instead of a sword, he has a Flailed Spiked Mace connected with an Axe. However, he could kill a Demon by landing rapid blows until daybreak. Gyomei can defeat Akaza without even awakening his Demon Slayer mark. Akaza is too inferior in front of Gyomei.
Instead of a standard sword, Gyomei uses a spiked flail and axe to take out his enemies. It's a very strong and durable weapon that takes a lot of skill to use. Because Gyomei is blind, he uses the echoes of the chain to help him know the space and movements around him thanks to his acute sense of hearing.
Shinobu Kocho is a capable Demon Slayer whose worthy of being the Insect Hashira. That being said, she's arguably the weakest Hashira when it comes to pure strength.
1 QUIET CHARACTER: Gyomei Himejima Is Soft-Spoken
The stone Hashira, Gyomei, is a gentle giant who is patient and firm like the earth itself.
The Wind Hashira has one of the saddest backstories in Demon Slayer. His mother had turned into a demon and had killed five of his siblings. He was forced to kill his own mother in an attempt to save his only remaining brother, Genya.
Muzan of course. Gyomei is the strongest Hashira but he was barely able to beat Kokushibou, upper moon 1, with the help of Sanemi, Muichiro and Genya. He awakened his demon slayer mark but still had trouble defeating him. If he struggled against Kokushibou then he would definitely lose against Muzan.
Gyomei's raw power and his long-range weapon would be more than enough to keep Nezuko at bay, and he could defeat her without struggling too much. Even if things go south, Gyomei can activate the Demon Slayer Mark and utilize the See Through World that would allow him to beat her with ease.
Determined to protect Sayo at all costs, Gyomei fought the demon and managed to pin it down and beat its head in with his bare fists until dawn. He thoroughly disliked the experience of hitting another living being but persevered to protect Sayo.
Demon Slayer's Tengen Uzui is considered to be one of the weakest Hashira due to almost losing this fight, but the fact is that Tengen only looks weak when compared to the most overpowered Hashira.
14 She Has A Really Sweet Relationship With The Hashira Mitsuri Kanroji.
1. Hated Demon Slayer characters: Muzan Kibutsuji. Muzan Kibutsuji is the primary antagonist of the entirety of Demon Slayer. And while we often want to show grace to premade villains, especially if we don't have all the details, this demon just makes it too easy to despise every single inch of him.
Gyomei, along with Muichiro, Sanemi and Genya, had to take down Kokushibo. After defeating the Upper Moon 1, Gyomei quickly found himself fighting against Muzan. During the fight, his legs are crushed, and he eventually dies while creating an opening for Tanjiro to attack.
If Sanemi had been the one to encounter Akaza, while he surely would've given a better fight than Rengoku did, Sanemi probably wouldn't have emerged victorious regardless of Akaza's handy Compass Needle that makes him nearly impossible to decapitate anyway.
The Hashira of Demon Slayer are all vastly different when it comes to their abilities, and it can be hard to compare them when their fighting styles vary so much—but when it comes to power, Gyomei Himejima is easily the strongest of the nine.
As the battle reached its climax, Tanjiro was able to knock the doll's head off and discovered that the mechanical body contained a mysterious sword. Fans of the manga will recognize this sword as the one carried by Yoriichi Tsugikuni himself.
What is the Yoriichi Type Zero mechanical doll and who built it? During episode three we learned that the Yoriichi Type Zero was built by Kontetsu's ancestors more than 300 years ago, during the Sengoku era.
