Aragorn and Legolas are long-time companions and best friends since Legolas' father
Legolas, as a wise Elf Prince, probably realized Aragorn was a true leader, worthy of being followed and listened.
“You gave me a very special bow, and I look after it.” In related news, sources reveal that I “had such a crush” on Aragorn, son of Arathorn, called Elessar, the Elfstone, Dúnadan, the heir of Isildur Elendil's son of Gondor.
Son of the Elvenking Thranduil of Mirkwood, Legolas was Mirkwood's prince, a messenger, and a master archer. With his keen eyesight, sensitive hearing, and excellent bowmanship, Legolas was valuable to the Fellowship in their journey across Middle-earth.
Book versions, Aragorn wins. Legolas is are very good fighter in the books, if I recall correctly never once got hit or injured. But Aragorn is elevated to near godlike status in the books. Only person who got elevated to a higher pedestal is Gandalf.
What is Legolas syndrome? The actor is suffering from Legolas Syndrome — where you accidentally get cast into a role that suits you far more than your real-life looks, leaving you with a tricky predicament after the wrap party.
Eru Ilúvatar is the creator of Middle-earth and all its inhabitants. He possesses infinite power and is responsible for the destiny of all beings in the world. In conclusion, Middle-earth is home to a wide variety of powerful and magical beings, each with their own unique abilities and strengths.
While the date of Legolas's birth is unknown, he was likely born sometime after his grandfather was killed and his father took over the rule of the Woodland Realm. Like all Elves, Legolas is immortal. Elves do not die by natural causes; however, they can be killed in battle.
However, a specific scene in The Lord of the Rings has led fans to theorize that Frodo and Legolas didn't talk, not because of time, but because the hobbit didn't know Legolas' name (and was too embarrassed to ask).
Tauriel and Legolas – The Hobbit Trilogy
Despite the unrequited interest, the two Mirkwood Elves have a great deal of respect for one another and have each other's backs. Legolas also comes to accept that Tauriel does not see him the way he sees her.
As many have observed before, the interactions between Frodo and Legolas are severely limited in the trilogy even though they are allies. In fact, there's only one line that Legolas says to Frodo: “And you have my bow.”
It is later mentioned that Tauriel is a talented warrior and was therefore made leader of the Mirkwood border guards. Legolas, the son of Mirkwood's Elven king Thranduil, is indicated to be attracted to her, but as she is a lowly Silvan Elf, she does not believe herself worthy of him.
Legolas doesn't really talk to anyone outside of Aragorn and eventually Gimli, and even then his words are minimal. As a 5,000 year old elf, he can't really relate to the problems and interactions that the “children” of the Fellowship (aka everyone except Gandalf) have.
And after their marriage, both Aragorn and Arwen are mortal. Arwen, therefore, could not set foot in the Undying Lands without special permission. And she wouldn't be likely to go after it in the end. So unfortunately, she would not go there, unlike Legolas, after Aragorn's passing.
Legolas stuck around for another 120 years before Aragorn died, which was when he finally decided that his own time in Middle-earth might be up as well. He built his own ship and, in a pretty unprecedented honor, invited Gimli to accompany him to the Undying Lands.
Aragorn was tempted by the ring, but he was able to resist it, partly because he was more alike to Elendil than any before him - Elendil was wise and friendly with the Elves. If Isildur and Elendil's positions had changed, Elendil would likely have foreseen the evil of the Ring and destroyed it.
They are both elvish nobles, as Legolas is the son of King Thranduil and Arwen is the daughter of Elrond. They are both well-educated and would have known each other as the community of elves is quite small. It's likely they would have been at least friendly with one another.
In The Hobbit trilogy, Legolas had a strained relationship with his father, Thranduil, the Elven King of Mirkwood. He opposed his father's ideals, especially those that obstructed his freedom to pursue Tauriel, an elf far below his status as Prince in An Unexpected Journey.
He fought in the Battle of the Pelennor Fields and at the Black Gate, and watched as Sauron was defeated and Barad-dûr collapsed. After the destruction of the One Ring, Legolas remained in Minas Tirith for Aragorn's coronation and marriage to Arwen.
That said, the people behind the “official movie guide” for The Lord of the Rings list Legolas as being born in the year 87 of the Third Age of Middle-earth, which makes him some 2,931 years old around the time of the War of the Ring, which happened over 3,000 years into the Third Age of Middle-earth.
By far. Legolas is a baby compared to Gandalf. Gandalf is an Ainu, a race that is older than time and space itself. The Ainur sang the universe into existence in a music called Ainulindalë, directed by the over-god Eru, and those who felt called, later stepped down on Arda/ Earth to realize their vision of the world.
Eru is introduced in The Silmarillion as the supreme being of the universe, creator of all existence, including the world, Arda, and its central continent, Middle-earth. In Tolkien's invented Elvish language Quenya, Eru means "The One", or "He that is Alone" and Ilúvatar signifies "Allfather".
So, in the Lord of the Rings (book) the most handsome male Elf was Glorfindel, I believe: "Glorfindel was tall and straight; his hair was of shining gold, his face fair and young and fearless and full of joy; his eyes were bright and keen, and his voice like music; on his brow sat wisdom, and in his hand was strength."
