Facebook may block an account if it notices content or activity that goes against their Community Standards. Facebook may block the full account or only limit some of the abilities. For example, you could be blocked from posting to a Page or Group but still be allowed to post to your Timeline.
Facebook Account Temporarily Locked for Security Reasons
Sending too many friend requests or messages. Using automated software and bots. A sudden increase in posting frequency. Having a fake account, using a fake name, or impersonating someone (debatable).
Common Reasons For a Facebook Page Ban or Block
Sending too many friend requests. Joining too many other Facebook groups. Sending too many messages to page followers. Adding promotional links to a page too many times.
The length of a temporary block by Facebook depends on the severity of the violation and the user's history on Facebook. It has been observed that a temporary block may last as little as a few hours, but could also last up to 30 days.

Type the website's IP address instead of URL
If your Internet provider has blocked only the URL of a website, you can regain your access by typing its IP address in your browser's address bar. Don't know where to get the IP address of the website? You need to use the ping command.
Unless you're reporting an incident of intellectual property infringement, your report will be kept confidential and the account you reported won't see who reported them.
When something gets reported to Facebook, we'll review it and take action on anything that we determine doesn't follow our Community Standards.
Eight strikes: You'll get a 3-day restriction from creating content. Nine strikes: You'll get a 7-day restriction from creating content. Ten or more strikes: You'll get a 30-day restriction from creating content.
Keep in mind that your report is anonymous, except if you're reporting an intellectual property infringement. The account you reported won't see who reported them.
When you report a piece of content (example: post, comment, story) to us, we will take action to hide or remove that content from Instagram if we find that it goes against our Community Guidelines. A block page is displayed in a user's browser when your software prevents access to a URL.
Blocked users don't get notifications alerting them about the block. You may view a profile's content even after blocking it through mutual friends and tagged content. Facebook offers multiple tools that limit your interactions and the visibility of a profile.
Try searching the person's name on Facebook by typing their name into the search bar at the top of the page. If you know that their profile has not been deleted and the friend no longer appears or you receive the message stating that the content is not available, they have likely blocked or unfriended you.
Search Results. If someone has blocked you, rather than simply discontinued your friendship, his name will not show up in your account's search results. Try typing the person's name in the search field at the top of your Facebook home page. If you don't find that person, you may have been blocked.
