Star Ratings are an average of rated trips. If you have two rated trips, one 5 star and one 4 star the average is 4.5.
Generally, anything below a 4.5 is considered bad. That 4.5 may seem high considering Uber uses a five-star system, but most drivers will give you five stars. If you get a rating any lower than that, you may want to think about what made you a not-so-great passenger.
You can change the star rating you gave a driver from the receipt emailed to you after your trip. From the email, select “Rate or tip.” You'll be redirected to your account on uber.com where you can update the rating.
Your rating is the average of your last 500 trips. If you want to help improve your rating, drivers have shared some of the top reasons they hand out fewer stars: Pack it in, pack it out: Drivers shouldn't have to clean up after you. Always make sure to take your trash and any other belongings with you.
The basic consensus is this: Anything above a 4.9 is excellent, possibly even worth bragging about on Tinder; the 4.8 range is good; the 4.7 range is merely fine; the 4.6 range is nearing the borderline. Once your rating dips below 4.6, drivers start thinking you might be a little sketchy.
We all know Uber ratings are a two way street, with riders and driver-partners rating each journey from 1 to 5 stars. But with less than 20 percent of riders having a perfect score, chances are you aren't one of the 5 star riders. So what's stopping you from achieving a perfect rating? It may be simpler than you think.
4. Low Uber Driver Ratings. You should ensure that your rating is always above 4.8 because if it falls below 4.6, you risk deactivation.
4.50-4.59: You have an absolutely horrible rating and have really done something to tick off many drivers.
These ratings are of high importance for drivers. If they fall below 4.6, Uber will likely deactivate them from the program, and drivers with a rating of 4.8 or higher can qualify for VIP trips. Now, Uber allows us also see our detailed rating, although they have tried hard to hide on the app.
No, tipping doesn't affect your Uber rating. Uber states that tips aren't tied to 5 star ratings. In fact, Uber riders have to rate their trip before they can add a tip.
If a rider gave you a low rating because of the price, traffic, or other issues that you couldn't help, that rating is removed from your average. Do canceled or unaccepted ride requests affect my rating? No, you won't receive star ratings for any canceled or unaccepted trips.
Once you delete your account, it will be immediately deactivated. After 30 days it will be permanently deleted, and any unused credits, promotions, or rewards will be removed. Uber may retain certain information after account deletion as required or permitted by law.
But not every trip will go perfectly and your rating won't stay perfect forever. The average driver rating is 4.7 stars, and anything above 4.85 stars is considered exceptional.
The rating system works to make sure that the most respectful riders and drivers are using Uber. Ratings are always reported as averages, and neither riders nor drivers will see the individual rating left for a particular trip.
Why is my Uber Rider Rating Low? You've had a few drivers that score riders harshly, or you have displayed behaviors that drivers felt disrespected or unsafe. Also consider how your friends behave when they are in the vehicle with you and you request the ride.
The average rating for Uber riders is 4.89 out of 5, according to Uber, however, Ridester says you have a bad score if you're below a 4.7. Starting today, you can see a breakdown of your average rating in the Uber app's Privacy Center.
Around 4.70~4.90 is good. Between 4.50~4.60 is acceptable. Below 4.50 requires some caution.
But you don't need to have a perfect rating to reap the benefits of a good passenger score; a high 4.5-4.9 rating is just as good. The average passenger rating is around 4.6.
Drivers and delivery people can only have one account. We'll help you access the account that you should use to continue signing up or get you back on the road. Please note that signing up again will not resolve your issue and will further delay the process.
Everyone deserves and appreciates receiving a fair and accurate rating. Your partner app requires you to rate riders at the end of each trip. Please take time to consider and enter a rating that reflects your trip experience with this rider. We do not change rider ratings once they have been entered into the app.
If you don't want to tip your Uber driver, you don't have to. When your driver rates you, they also won't know if you've tipped, so a bad tip — or no tip — won't affect your rating.
4.93 - 4.99
A four-star rating is good. It means that the driver had a positive experience with you, but there's always room for improvement. So, if you have a 4.93 Uber rating, then you have absolutely nothing to be concerned about.
If your rating is between 4.80 and 4.93, you are still a good passenger, but you've gotten quite a few less-than-perfect ratings.
4.83 is perfectly fine for both drivers and passengers.
The rating system works on a demerit basis. All rides should be given 5 stars as a starting point. Then if the driver drove unsafely, acted inappropriately, was rude (refusing to wait or go through drive-thru doesn't count), etc you can deduct stars.
