In its idle state or “standby” mode, the Ring Doorbell is usually white as it awaits motion detection or a press on the doorbell button. Once motion is detected or the button is pressed, the ring encircling the button turns blue, and the device begins recording a video.
If your Video Doorbell Wired shows a solid white light it's either in idle mode or recording.

The three settings are: Low: Try this setting if the light is turning on too often. Medium: The default setting, which is ideal for most setups. High: Monitor the largest possible area with the most sensitivity.
By default, Ring's floodlights fire up when it detects motion and it's dark outside, but this can be changed as needed, as the lights and camera can be scheduled independently. The lights can be set to always remain on during nighttime hours, for example, regardless of motion, or shut off altogether.
If your Ring Video Doorbell is not ringing correctly or has stopped working, the device may not be receiving sufficient voltage. A Ring Video Doorbell requires at least 3,900 mV. Check the voltage received by the Ring device by opening the Ring app, selecting 'Ring Pro', and selecting 'Device Health.
If you are measuring enough power at the door and the Video Doorbell Pro is unresponsive, please ensure the bypass cable is securely installed and there is no loose wiring at the Doorbell terminals. Resetting the Doorbell, by holding the setup button for 20 seconds, might also help to get it into setup mode.
There is no indication of damage happening to the eyes during most ring light use. But there is some definite eye strain and possible headaches that can occur from the LED lights flickering quickly and the blue light that is emitted from them.
The blue light on your Ring camera is not an indication that someone is watching you. The blue light flashing through the Ring camera means that the device has been configured. In other words, all the camera's security features are activated.
Away Mode should be used when no one is at the business location. This will arm all sensors and Motion Detectors inside and around the perimeter of your business. Home Mode is designed to be used when you or your employees have locked the doors and are working late, and need to feel secure inside the business.
Check your Auto Shut Off control in your device controls in the Ring app. You may have incorrectly set the time on the control. Take yourself out of the equation. Leave the area for 10 minutes to give the lights time to reset without you triggering them and then return and check the lights.
Have you added any light to the entryway area? Sometimes enough light will allow the lens to adjust without needing to use night vision. If night vision is not coming on even when covering the lens area on the Doorbell, please try a reset. You can perform a reset by holding the setup button for 20 seconds.
The normally white LED ring around the button turns blue indicating that the camera is active AND someone is watching it.
The primary reason for flashing white is either a low battery or a poor internet connection, or it can be both. In most cases, if you can solve these problems, your Ring Doorbell will return to its normal condition.
