Sometimes, when you try to launch a website on Safari, you can't get in. This is usually because of web filtering and geo-restrictions. Safari blocks access to sites that have been reported for malware or phishing.
Open the website you want to see with no content blockers applied; Tap the button on the left side of the address bar; Tap "Website Settings"; Turn off/on the switch "Use Content Blockers".
iOS can automatically filter website content to limit access to adult content in Safari and apps on your device. You can also add specific websites to an approved or blocked list, or you can limit access to only approved websites. Follow these steps: Go to Settings, then Screen time.
Go to Settings and tap Screen Time. Tap Content & Privacy Restrictions and enter your Screen Time passcode. Tap Content Restrictions, then tap Web Content. Choose Unrestricted Access, Limit Adult Websites or Allowed Websites.
Check Safari settings
The webpage might not be compatible with one or more browser settings, which you can turn on or off as needed. From the menu bar in Safari, choose Safari > Settings (or Preferences). Then click Websites, Privacy, or Security to access these settings: Privacy settings.
Apple has released a redesigned version of Safari for macOS Big Sur and Catalina. The update, announced as part of the upcoming macOS Monterey, was released the same day as iOS and iPadOS 15, bringing the web browser's new look and features across Apple's platforms.
With the site loaded in Safari, Control-click the site's name in the Address and Search bar (don't click in the field first) or choose the menu item Safari > Settings for This Website. Now, uncheck the Enable Content Blockers box. Safari immediately reloads the page.
From the Screen Time menu, select Content & Privacy Restrictions. Here you will have the option to restrict access to specific websites and choose which type of content your child is allowed to view or download from the App Store. You can also turn off GPS tracking for apps like Safari.
Today, Apple still includes its Safari browser with the latest versions of macOS, iOS, and iPadOS. Safari was, and still is, based on WebKit, a page rendering framework that was developed from the open source KHTML browser engine. WebKit has gone on to be an integral element in Apple's operating systems.
Why do you need to update Safari? There are a few reasons why it's important to keep Safari up to date. Security – Apple regularly patches macOS to deal with known security threats, and some of those patches include Safari updates. Stability – as macOS evolves, Safari needs to evolve with it.
Factory reset or hard reset deletes complete data and settings from your iPhone. All your photos, videos, contacts, call logs, passwords, messages, browsing history, calendar, chat history, notes, installed apps, etc., get deleted from the iOS device. It cleans your iPhone as new with no personal information at all.
Similar to Safari being embedded into a Mac, you can't remove the Safari app from your iPhone or iPad because it is deeply integrated into iOS. However, you can easily remove Safari from your home screen. Unfortunately, removing the icon doesn't mean you delete the app or its data, like browsing data or logins.
You can change other Safari settings in the Settings app. From the Home Screen or App Library, go to Settings > Safari, then adjust any of the options. For example: Search Engine: Choose the search engine to use when you enter search terms in the search field.
Connect to a different network
If you don't have cellular data, connect to a different Wi-Fi network and then load the website. If you're using a VPN (Virtual Private Network), check your VPN settings. If you have a VPN turned on, some apps or websites might block content from loading.
Restart your browser and device. Ensure your device is connected to the internet and that the connection is stable. Restart your router once to clear its temporary memory and reload its firmware. The websites that aren't loading could be going through routine maintenance.
If the website doesn't load elsewhere, the website or its network are likely having trouble handling connections. If you can, try to load the website on another device connected to the same network (such as your Wi-Fi network), as well as one that's not connected to your network (such as over mobile data).
In iOS, the user can open the Settings app, then choose Safari > Extensions in the General group. Then they can tap an extension to see which websites have been configured for the extension, and can change the permission status for a selected website to Ask, Allow, or Deny.
