Grogu's force sensitivity is the strongest reason that there is a bounty on him. While force sensitivity is the most important trait that he is being hunted down for, the imperial remnant might be seeking him to study the genetic traits, for cloning, or for training him to become one of them.
He doesn't want Grogu's blood for the Dark Troopers, he wants them for actual clones of people so that they will all be strong with the Force as well as physically superior.
Pershing as he discussed his experiments, and he revealed the Empire wants Baby Yoda's blood. The goal is to inject the Child's blood into host bodies, presumably in an attempt to grant them Force-sensitivity.
The Mandalorian bounty hunter Din Djarin was dispatched by a member of Gideon's Imperial remnant known as "the Client" and Imperial Doctor Penn Pershing to capture Grogu alive, though the Client gave Djarin the option to return Grogu dead for a lower price. The assassin droid IG-11 was also dispatched to terminate him.
During the New Republic Era in the year 9 ABY, a remnant of the fallen Galactic Empire led by Moff Gideon launched a hunt for Grogu to acquire a mysterious Force-sensitive alien child called Grogu in the Outer Rim Territories, far from the New Republic's authority.
While fans don't know the state of Grogu's well-being in the sequel trilogy, his ties to Mandalore might explain why Kylo Ren doesn't kill him. It's likely Grogu stays with Din Djarin and the Mandalorians, and never returns to embark on his training with Luke.
It was believed that Grogu would eventually become a victim of Kylo Ren's destruction of Luke's Jedi Order. However, The Book of Boba Fett revealed that Grogu chose to follow the Way of the Mandalorian rather than become a Jedi, sparing him from Kylo Ren's wrath.
Basically, Grogu is either the illicit love child of Yoda and Yaddle, was conceived by the Force, or was conceived by same unnamed individuals from Yoda's species.
Grogu Was Saved By a New Character
Yet the Jedi is not a household name, and not someone anybody likely suspected. The door opens to reveal that it is Jedi Master Kelleran Beq standing there, and he helps get Grogu to safety and off Coruscant.
Slow Aging
Grogu appears to be the youngest known member of Yoda's species. He is only 50 years old, and he is still developmentally an infant. For the whole first season of The Mandalorian™, they referred to him only as the Child.
Pershing also referred to the high M count in Grogu's blood, which is a reference to midi-cholorians. Like Anakin Skywalker, Grogu has an unusually high midi-chlorian count, which is why Gideon believed he could use Grogu's blood to make his clones wield the Force.
Is Grogu Yoda? According to the events of "The Mandalorian" so far, Grogu and Yoda are not the same character. They are simply from the same species. The name of this species has never been revealed since "Star Wars" creator George Lucas wanted to give Yoda a sense of mystery.
But his life is miraculously saved by Baby Yoda, who uses the Force to magically heal the deadly wound. Conventionally, you can call this “Force healing,” and it does exist in the old Legends canon.
Why did Anakin not kill Grogu? Ahsoka: “At the end of the clone wars, when the Empire rose to power, he was hidden. Someone took him from the temple.” For now, this is all we know about how Grogu escaped, but to answer your question, Anakin didn't kill him because he wasn't there.
In other words, Filoni suggests that, even though Grogu doesn't appear in the Sequel films, the Star Wars galaxy is so vast that he could still be out there but on a completely different adventure that kept him away from all of that First Order and Sith Eternal drama.
Much like Anakin, Grogu was too emotionally connected to his parent to totally commit to his Jedi training. Grogu chose to leave Luke and the Jedi behind when presented with the opportunity.
As depicted in "Chapter 20: The Foundling," Grogu was rescued from the attack on the Jedi Temple by Jedi Master Kelleran Beq. Beq completed the daring escape that got Grogu to safety, then escaped the attack with his life.
In The Mandalorian Season 3 Episode 4, we finally learned who saved Grogu from the Jedi Temple during Order 66. None other than Jedi Master Kelleran Beq, The Sabered Hand.
Grogu Was Saved From Order 66 By Ahmed Best's Jedi, Korellan Beq.
Not really. Grogu hasn't demonstrated any malice in the show. He has shown to be a very good character and a character that has suffered a lot. He formed a strong bond with Mando, and he consistently demonstrated that he did not want to go with the Empire.
Conversation. 1. Mandalore's Chosen One Grogu is not replacing Anakin as The Chosen One from the prophecy. What I mean is, he is Mandalore's version of The Chose One prophecy, meant to bring back balance to Mandalore.
In The Mandalorian season 2 finale, "Chapter 16: The Rescue," Moff Gideon says that Grogu's blood can bring "order," which could be another sign of his connection to Supreme Leader Snoke and, ultimately, Emperor Palpatine.
Fortunately, in The Book of Boba Fett, Grogu was permitted to choose for himself whether he wished to continue training with Luke or leave his training behind to go be with Djarin instead. He ultimately chose the latter. Grogy was reunited with Djarin in the season finale of The Book of Boba Fett.
As such, it's very unlikely he will ever become one with the Force — at least not anytime soon. While it seemed Star Wars had “removed” Grogu/Baby Yoda/the Child in The Mandalorian Season 2, he returned in The Book of Boba Fett (2021) the following year.
No, they are essentially equal in power though if anything, Yoda is actually slightly more powerful than Sidious as was generally revealed in both the movies and books. Is there a possibility of Grogu (Baby Yoda) being the child of Yoda and Yaddle?
