Turns out resident Gryffindor Ronald Weasley was actually meant to join the likes of Hannah Abbott and Cedric Diggory (RIP) and be in Hufflepuff house. Using Pottermore's very own digital sorting hat, Rupert Grint discovered he's been living a lie all these years.
And this is why Hermione does not fit into Ravenclaw, since she lacks their creativity of thought. When you also add in her fearlessness and her strong convictions about right and wrong, which are inherently Gryffindor traits, then there was even less of a chance she'd end up wearing blue and bronze.
Poor Harry certainly had his fair share of it over the years, and no one inspired more survivor's guilt in him than Hufflepuff Cedric Diggory. We pose that Cedric's death is the main reason Harry never wanted to visit Hufflepuff.

Although there are strengths to every house, Hufflepuff house in particular often comes up short. While the other houses seem cool and invite a certain allure, Hufflepuff is a little different. Hufflepuffs don't need to show off

She's seen as a bit absent-minded, is easily distracted, and is extremely eccentric in both her disposition and general outward appearance. But that's what makes her a perfect Ravenclaw. She loves learning, but unlike many of her housemates (or Hermione, for that matter), she can never know enough.

There might be discord in the relationship, but Slytherins and Hufflepuffs bring out the best in each other more often than not. Though Slytherins tend to be shrewd, they don't direct this Machiavellian behavior at their Hufflepuff companions and see themselves as one-half of an equal partnership above all else.
Hufflepuffs are the only ones patient enough to really get to know someone without any judgment. Since Slytherins are often on edge, they truly appreciate the safe space that Hufflepuffs create. They ground Slytherins and keep their heads in the right place.

You cannot “get into" a house. The sorting hat will decide it for you, after analysing your skills. If you are asking which house seeks the rarest qualities in students, then it must be Slytherin.

Hufflepuff is an open, egalitarian house, the most inviting of all the houses at Hogwarts. Where Gryffindor, Slytherin and even Ravenclaw strive to make their houses feel like an exclusive club, Hufflepuff has what is essentially a doors open policy.
