It's revealed Silas had regenerated due to Bonnie's death and shows his true face; he is Stefan's doppelganger, and Stefan was meant to be a "shadow self" , a version of Silas that could die.
"Death and the Maiden" is the seventh episode of the fifth season of the American series The Vampire Diaries and the series' 96th episode overall.
After discovering Silas intended to use it on himself and another woman, Qetsiyah killed his side piece and buried the now immortal Silas alive on an isolated island.
Klaus is far more powerful than Silas because he's physically the second most powerful thing walking the planet (behind the Beast of the prophecy). Silas wasn't even as strong as a vampire, he's barely stronger than a human.
Amara has reunited with Silas for the first time in over two millenniums but she is extremely petrified and overwhelmed. Amara consumes the cure for immortality via drinking Silas' blood, which contains the cure.
Bonnie still refuses until Silas creates an illusion of Jeremy dying and asking for help. Bonnie's grief over Jeremy and Grams allows Silas to manipulate Bonnie into agreeing to follow through with his plans. Silas then sends Bonnie to Damon, and they both return to Mystic Falls.
Their relationship was antagonistic. They do not get along well with each other. Silas resents Elena's "imposter" appearance due to her striking resemblance to Amara, his lover. Due to Silas' death, Elena and Silas are no longer in contact with each other.
Amara told him that she wanted to die and Silas understood her decision. As Silas was cutting Amara's throat, Stefan intervened and they had a fight and he dropped his knife. Stefan threw the knife into Silas' chest, killing him.
Hope is Legacies' strongest vampire type, a tribrid, and The Vampire Diaries' Mikael is the oldest and toughest Original Vampire Hunter, raising the question of who would win in a fight.
By feats Bonnie simply outclasses Hope by a huge margin. Even by character hype, while Hope was said to be able to fuel the NO ancestors for generations, Bonnie was said to be able to do anything she put her mind to.
He and his friend named Qetsiyah, another powerful witch, created the very first spell of immortality to make him truly immortal. This spell made him a true immortal, completely immortal and indestructible.
Silas is the first immortal. He was a witch belonging to The Travelers and became immortal with his love Amara (although he tricked the woman he was engaged to, Qetsiyah, to make the spell). He is also the progenitor to the Salvatore bloodline.
Silas's true face is Stefan's. Silas reveals to Stefan that the universe had to be in balance with the immortal Silas and Amara, and thus created doppelgangers (i.e. Stefan, Elena, Katherine, etc.) that were mortal and could die throughout the 2,000 years.
Bonnie literally worked her magic and made Silas turn into stone again, like Qetsiyah had. He was becoming his true self, Bonnie said, before it was complete.
Silas is the second oldest male character in the series universe (after Arcadius who is over 1,000+ years older than him), being 1,000+ years older than the oldest male Original Vampires such as Elijah and Klaus.
Silas is NOT a vampire. Silas was a wicth/warlock (in a group called Travelers- of which Qetsiyah too was a part). He was in love with a human called Amara.
With all of this in mind, it is important to note that Rebekah is the weakest Original Vampire, I wouldn't necessarily say because she's female, but for the sake of this argument, it's worth noting this, but at the end of the day she might have simply been the weakest child of Esther (strength-wise), and not because ...
Neither Nina Dobrev nor Ian Somerhalder reprised their Vampire Diaries role after the show ended in 2017, but between The Originals and Legacies, we did get a few updates on what they're up to now: Elena has a medical practice in Mystic Falls, and she and Damon briefly hosted Josie while she was attending public high ...
Powers and Abilities
As the Original Hybrid, Klaus is the strongest of the Original vampires due to his Werewolf heritage giving him additional powers and advantages his half-siblings do not possess, making him the most physically powerful immortal being in the world, second only to Marcel Gerard.
To save Silas, don't shoot him with Laura in the final chapter in his lair. This action causes Travis, Laura, and Ryan to die, and the infection will continue to spread through Hackett's Quarry. Saving him leads to you failing to complete the best « Rough Night » ending.
It is best to shoot and kill Silas rather than sparing him.
Silas was in love with Amara (the progenitor of the Petrova doppelgängers) and he wanted them to live together forever. He pretended to be in love with Qetsiyah so she could make them an immortality spell which she does thinking that it would be for the two of them.
Distant Family, Silas is Damon's distant paternal ancestor, Former Allies/Enemies, They worked together to defeat Qetsiyah.
And yes, the show later confirmed that Damon and Elena have multiple children - Jenna, Sarah Lillian and a son, Grayson.
Silas keeps the child and names her Eppie, after his deceased mother and sister, both named Hephzibah. Eppie changes Silas's life completely.
