Even when he was Cosmic Ghost Rider, Frank Castle found it difficult to challenge Thanos one-on-one, let alone when he was just a regular human–but with an amalgamated upgrade courtesy of perhaps Marvel's most iconic crossover with DC, the Punisher gained the strength and the resources to kill Thanos.
During Marvel Comics' most iconic crossover event with DC, the Punisher got an upgrade that gave him the power to kill Thanos (in more ways than one).
In a 1 one 1 fight, I'd say any Avenger could take Punisher. Who would win, Daredevil (Marvel) vs The Punisher (Marvel)? You'd be surprised. Not by who wins, that, I'm sure, you can guess, but by how big of a margin that victory is.
Frank Castle is already the most capable and dangerous, non-powered hero in the Marvel Universe. Add to that, heightened senses, the strength and durability to take on Ares, the God of War, and now the ability to fly, and not even Daredevil can stand against him.
Zod is stronger, faster, and more durable than Thanos. On top of that, his fighting skills and experience as a soldier give him an advantage over the Mad Titan, who is more of a brute than a fighter. All things told, Zod would end Thanos rather quickly.
As per the user, the director of Avengers confirmed that Thanos was most scared of Iron Man. “Not because of his strength, not because of his power, not because of his power, but because of his suit,” he added.
Thor: The God of Thunder almost killed Thanos in Avengers: Infinity War. He really would have taken down the Mad Titan there and then if not for his wish to see Thanos realise the error of his ways. As Thanos said, he should have gone for the head. We think if Thor got another chance, he would not miss.
2 Lose To: Batman
The Punisher is strong enough but Batman is excellent at hand-to-hand combat, and he's proved more than once that he can defeat even those who use weapons against him. It could be a tight match, but this time, victory goes to Batman.
Jigsaw. Billy "The Beaut" Rosso is one of the Punisher's biggest enemies. He became Jigsaw after The Punisher disfigured his face.
1 Winner: Joker
The Punisher has never faced anyone like the Joker whereas the Joker has faced the like of the Punisher. The Punisher will easily plow through whatever obstacles the Joker throws up in front of him and that will just fuel the Joker.
Punisher's arch-rival, Jigsaw killed off the loose ends from Frank Castle's life before the Punisher; he's replacing him on the streets with a leaner, meaner psychotic; and now Jiggy's taking out everyone and everything that Castle holds dear and framing him for it.
The Punisher possesses the normal human strength of a 6'1" 200-pound man, who engages in intensive and extensive physical exercise. Frank is capable of press lifting up to twice his body-weight and can press lift 400 lbs.
Venom - Electrocuted to death by The Punisher. Edward Brock - Shot to death by The Punisher. Peter Parker/Spider-Man - Shot in the head by The Punisher. Bruce Banner/Hulk - Shot in the head by The Punisher.
The Punisher is a very well trained and experienced human. Captain America is an enhanced super soldier who has been trained in almost every form of hand to hand combat. The only way the Punisher wins against Cap is if he takes him by complete surprise.
Black Widow (defeat)
No offense to the top-level super-spy known as the Black Widow, but in a fair fight, she gets outclassed by The Punisher. Let's start with the obvious assets Natasha Romanoff brings to the table as a trained black ops agent: like Frank Castle, she is a fantastic fighter.
However, there is one thing that really separates them, giving Daredevil the edge. And that is that Daredevil has a loyal team of associates and friends that are always willing to back him up. With such a team behind him, there is no doubt that Daredevil would win in a fight against Punisher.
He is in the top 10 anti-hero list though, and fans love him for that! His crusades have taken some truly gruesome turns as he declares bloody wars on crime and comes out on top. With a kill count of around 48,500, it is obvious that The Punisher does not take prisoners.
Two of the deadliest characters in the Marvel Universe are unarguably Wolverine and the Punisher. Even so, only the Punisher can be considered even more deadly, because he knows how to defeat Wolverine in an absolutely humiliating way.
Strength Feats:
Sends Wolverine Flying. Breaks free of SHIELD restraints. Rips a mans hand off. Breaks steel chains. Incaps Daredevil with a punch.
In fact, if his time as an archangel and Franken-Castle prove anything it's that even death itself can't stop Punisher. With all of that in mind, Marvel's most human hero might still retain a trace of the immorality that he has as a supernatural Avenger. he Punisher never explicitly renounced his angelic powers.
Superman has beaten everything the Multiverse has thrown at him and always come back for more. He's faced Thanos's type many times and always won. Superman is vastly more powerful and skilled than Thanos. It wouldn't take him long to realize how dangerous the Mad Titan was and once he did, he'd take the kid gloves off.
Additionally, Wanda demonstrated just how powerful she was in Infinity War, when she was able to repel Thanos while simultaneously destroying Vision's Mind Stone. So it stands to reason that Wanda would have been able to single-handedly whoop Thanos into oblivion, had he not called in cover fire from above.
Bucky Barnes, Black Panther, Groot, Scarlet Witch, Falcon, Mantis, Drax, Star-Lord, Doctor Strange, Spider-Man, Maria Hill, Nick Fury. With all the Infinity Stones in place on his gauntlet, Thanos has the power to disintegrate half the universe, including these heroes.
