If your same-day outbound flight departs after the lounge closes for the day, we will admit you as early as 3 hours prior to the lounge closing, subject to available capacity. Select lounges may allow access to eligible Card Members with a confirmed reservation for any same-day travel (departure or arrival).

When you book into an airport lounge you will be able to enjoy a variety of complimentary meals, snacks and drinks before boarding your flight. Although food and snack items may vary within each lounge, there's usually a great selection of sandwiches, cakes and biscuits to choose from.
As of Feb. 1, 2023, the ability to bring in two guests at no additional cost went away for most cardholders. Now, unless you otherwise spend $75,000 or more each calendar year on your card, you'll need to pay $50 to bring an adult guest ($30 for children ages 2 through 17) into the Centurion Lounge. Terms apply.

You can only enter a Centurion Lounge within 3 hours of departure, so for your originating flight, you can only stay for approximately 3 hours. For a flight where you have a layover and you're at the lounge, there is no time limit to how long you can stay or when you can enter.
Do you tip at the Centurion lounge? While tipping at the Centurion lounge is optional, it's always polite to do so, especially if you receive bar service. If you're just at the lounge for the Wi-Fi and don't interact with the servers, you probably don't need to leave a tip.

Centurion Lounge guest policy
The price for bringing a guest into an American Express Centurion Lounge is now $50 for adults and $30 for children aged 2-17. Children under two, however, can enter for free when accompanying an adult.
Within our Centurion Lounges eligible Card Members can escape into luxury before flying, enjoy food and drink from award-winning chefs and top mixologists, and get away from it all in thoughtfully curated spaces designed for work or relaxation.
The American Express Platinum Card®, for example, gives Card Members unlimited complimentary access to The Global Lounge Collection®. In most cases, Card Members can bring up to two companions into the club as complimentary guests per visit.
These locations offer custom drinks created by a nationally renowned mixologist, a member services desk that can help with travel plans and semi-private workspaces — some locations even have shower suites, a spa and a wine-tasting area.
The Amex Gold card does not offer any complimentary airport lounge access. Bottom Line: If you value worldwide lounge access, the Amex Platinum card is a clear winner as the Amex Gold card does not offer any form of airport lounge access.
