iCloud Photos and My Photo Stream* automatically upload your photos so that you can see them when you're at home or on the go. iCloud Photos also will also upload your videos and keep all of your edits up to date too. You can access your collection on these devices when you sign in to iCloud with your Apple ID.
You need to remove it under Contacts. Go to yourself, and below the photo is an edit button. Then you can choose to delete the photo.
