To Fall in Love with God, We Must Spend Time in His Word. The Bible “is living, it is active, it is powerful ” (Hebrew 4:12). The more time you spend in the Word of God, the more He will begin to speak to you. Prayer is so important as that is when we speak to God.
A relationship with God is different from our relationships with the people in our lives. For instance, those people may seem easier to reach. However, while we may not talk to God face-to-face, we can each have a deeper, more loving connection with Him than we can with anyone else.
That is why love is the fulfillment of the law (Romans 13:10). The law is an explanation of what love is. If you love God with all your heart and you love your neighbor as yourself, then you will have done all that God commands you.
When you give your heart to God, you become satisfied in all that He provides, in all the prayers He answers, and in all the ways He doesn't give you what you ask for, but blesses you with something even better when the time is right.
God has never stopped loving you, and He has never stopped hoping that you will turn back to Him. The Bible says, "But in your great mercy you did not put an end to them or abandon them, for you are a gracious and merciful God" (Nehemiah 9:31).
The Bible agrees that God knows your heart. God said to Samuel that He sees not as man sees: “man looks on the outward appearance, but the Lord looks on the heart” (1 Samuel 16:7 ).
God's love is not his sparing us suffering and death. His love is mainly his showing us and giving us himself in his glory. God loves us mainly by giving us himself and all that he is for us in Jesus. Jesus loves us mainly by giving us himself and all that God is for us in him.
Gratitude is key to loving God with all our soul. The Bible tells us that we love God because he first loved us (1 John 4:10). We can't love God with all our soul if we have lost our gratitude for him and all he has done for us.
Throughout human history, God has initiated communication with humanity by speaking audibly to humans. He also speaks to us through the glory of His creation. Additionally, He speaks to us through His Holy Spirit and through dreams, visions and our thoughts.
Instead, Micah listed out the three principles of what God asks of His people: to do justice, to love kindness, and to walk humbly with Him.
Pray daily to God.
Honestly talking with God daily is how you begin and continue a loving relationship with Him. God knows everything, but He wants to hear it from you. He wants to hear about your day, your struggles, and your accomplishments. He wants you to ask Him questions.
God's forgiveness and love are unconditional. He loved us while we were still sinners (Romans 5:8) and we cannot earn His love by our good works. We are forgiven based on the perfect work of Jesus Christ. God does, however, require repentance in order to grant forgiveness.
Fifteen hundred years after Noah's great flood, King Solomon was receiving some advice from his father, King David, who said this, ” … for the Lord searches all hearts, and understands every intent of the thoughts” 1 Chronicles 28:9. In other words, “Be aware of what's in your head, son. God sees it.”
In Paul's letter to the Romans, Paul notes that God searches our hearts to see how the Holy Spirit has been moving in us. Like the Pharisees, we test God, but God also tests us. God searches our hearts, our souls, and minds.
“The Lord said unto Moses, and I will do this thing also that thou hast spoken: for thou hast found grace in my sight, and I know thee by name” -Exodus 33:17. This should bring a sense of significance to life. God, the greatest One in the Universe, knows us by name. In fact, he knows everything about us!
Psalm 100:5 says, “The LORD is good; his love is eternal and his faithfulness lasts forever” (GNT). No matter what you've done, who you've done it with, or how long you've done it, God's love for you will last forever. Think about a time you loved someone conditionally.
The love of God cannot be fully explained but only experienced. His love surpasses every boundary in every direction - there are no limits. No matter where a person has been, or where they are currently, or where they are heading — He loves. No matter how shattered, closed, or rebellious we are — He still loves.
God loves us with such incredible love. He wants us to experience incredible, life-changing love, mercy, and compassion not only from him, but from those around us. And he wants us to show that love to others.
