Off leash dog walking gives your dog time to explore
Dogs love to go on adventures and sniff everything in sight. Being off-leash certainly gives them time to do so! This will in turn make your dog happier and more content.
Being off leash allows a dog to move more freely and at their natural pace. A dog can develop more confidence when they feel they have more choice in how they explore. Plus, they tend to burn more energy when off leash than on leash as they run this way, that way, and back to you.
Being leashed by the neck during a walk, even with a buckle collar, can be harmful to dogs who pull or lunge, especially if their guardian jerks on the leash. Also, dogs with wide necks can easily slip out of buckle collars. Certain types of collars can even cause psychological distress.
