Simparica (sarolaner) is a chewable, once a month preventative that can provide continuous protection against fleas, ticks, and tick borne pathogens.
Simparica contains three active substances: sarolaner, moxidectin and pyrantel. Sarolaner acts as an 'ectoparasiticide'. This means that it kills parasites present on the skin or in the fur of animals, such as fleas and ticks.
If you bathe your dog you risk diluting or washing off the flea treatment. What do you do? Well, here's what not to do: do not bathe your dog and then reapply the medication, as this could result in your dog getting too much anti-parasitic medication which could make him very ill.
We generally recommend for most topical products is that you wait 24 to 48 hours before bathing your pet.

However, if you are dispensing Simparica Trio to a dog or puppy and such dog or puppy is found to be positive with tapeworms demonstrated in the fecal sample, we will provide you Cestex (epsiprantel) free of charge.
