At full power, Luffy would be even stronger. He would bend Roger's sword up his a** and reflect Kamusari back to him. I know this may be a lot to swallow, but it's time we accept that even Roger had his limits.

It is evident that the only person capable of surpassing Roger is Luffy. Even though Luffy still has a lot to achieve, he is the only person who can transform the entire world.
Before his inevitable death, Roger started the Great Pirate Era which ultimately led to Luffy setting out on his journey. By the end of the story, Luffy is going to be the man who becomes the Pirate King and surpass Roger in some ways, however, there are still some things that the former Pirate King would be better at.
1 Luffy Vs.
The fight is, undoubtedly, the most difficult one that Luffy has fought so far. Kaido managed to defeat Luffy three times. For the first time, Luffy faced defeat against him Kuri and was thrown in prison. There, he learned Internal Destruction Ryuo and took Kaido on during the Onigashima Raid.
Luffy is close to Shanks in terms of power and it is only after their fight that he will officially be able to call himself stronger than Shanks.
Roger could possibly beat any character in the series. Although he isn't alive right now, he did clash with Kaido at God Valley where the Rocks crew was annihilated. Arduous as it may be, it is expected of the Pirate King to be able to take on Kaido without much trouble.
Roger used advanced forms of conqueror's haki as he imbued his sword with conqueror's haki and clashed with Whitebeard. He also used advanced armament haki for more powerful sword attacks. Additionally, Roger possessed the observation haki, thus, making him the strongest haki user of all time in One Piece.
When it comes to destructive power, Saitama can destroy giant spaceships, monsters, mountains, etc. with the bare minimum effort. Bearing in mind Saitama's feats, Luffy's Gear 5th stands absolutely zero chance against him.

1 Whitebeard, The World's Strongest Man
Captain of the Whitebeard Pirates, Whitebeard was one of the strongest pirates of Roger's time. With the power of the Gura Gura no Mi and an incredibly strong Haki, Whitebeard was known as the strongest man alive. The only person strong enough to equal him in combat was Gol D.
It is a known fact that Kaido has lost to his fellow Yonko and the Navy a combined 7 times and been captured a total of 18 times. While Kaido might be the strongest in terms of raw strength, there are definitely those who can beat him a fight. Write for Us!
