When someone that you've
If you send a message as a regular SMS in the green text bubble and you do not get a “Delivered” notification but instead get a notification similar to “Message not Delivered” or no message at all, that means you were probably blocked.
It's the same as an iPhone, but without the “delivered” notification (or lack thereof) to clue you in. “The simplest way to tell if you have been blocked by an Android user is to call,” Lavelle says. Just like with an iPhone, listen for it to be diverted to voicemail or play you a pre-recorded message.
When someone you've blocked tries to text you, you will not receive text messages from them. The blocked person also does not receive any notification that they're blocked.
Blocking Texts on Android
Navigate to the Messages app. Choose the text from the number you want to block. From the drop-down menu, select “Details.” From the following screen, tap the option for blocking the number.
What happens to a blocked text message? Texting someone who's blocked you works as you would expect. The message sends as normal, and you don't get an error message.
When you block a phone number or contact, they can still leave a voicemail, but you won't get a notification. Messages that are sent or received won't be delivered. Also, the contact won't get a notification that the call or message was blocked.
Your old messages remain blue, but the latest texts you send after they've blocked you turn green. However, the bubble colors aren't accurate clues. They could mean the recipient turned off their phone, gone offline, or switched from iOS to Android.
Any messages you send to a contact person who has blocked you will always show one check mark (a sign of a message sent) but never show the second checkmark (a sign of message delivered).
For Android, go to Settings > Call Settings > Additional Settings > Caller ID. Then, select Hide Number. Your calls will remain anonymous and you can bypass the blocked list.
Blocked text messages disappear
When someone that you've blocked texts you, their texts go nowhere. They won't receive any notification that they're blocked, and their messages will still look like they've been sent. But you won't receive any of them, and you can't respond.
Some of the most common delivery failures happen because the number is invalid, the recipient opted out of messages, there were network problems with the recipient's carrier, or your message contained content that carriers frequently block.
If you're blocked by someone, your calls will go straight to voicemail, and your voicemail messages will head to the 'blocked' section immediately. The other person won't receive your calls, won't be notified you called, and won't see a badge for your voicemail.
There are several reasons for this: The person that you sent the message to doesn't have an Apple device. iMessage is turned off on your device or on your recipient's device. To check if iMessage is turned on for your device, go to Settings > Messages > iMessage.
If you've been blocked, the recipient will not receive a notification and won't be able to respond. If you don't receive a returned call or text message within a few days, there's a good chance you may be blocked.
If you have confirmation that someone has blocked your contact on their phone, there's no way to unblock yourself remotely using any of your devices. To unblock your number, you need to either have physical access to the person's phone or talk the situation through with them and have them reverse the action.
You can also use *82 to unblock your number in case your call gets rejected temporarily. Some providers and users will automatically block private numbers, so using this code will help you bypass this filter. Blocking your number can go a long way in stopping annoying robocalls.
If you make a call and receive an automated message along the lines of “the customer is unavailable,” that person's wireless carrier may have blocked you. The messages can vary, but the result is the same. Your call won't go through.
You can still place calls and texts to the blocked number, and the recipient will be able to answer your call, but not your texts. You can unblock phone numbers any time by removing them from the Block numbers page of the Phone app.
Unfortunately, no. If a text message is blocked by the recipient's Android phone, the sender will not see a "delivered" status on the message. The best way to determine if your message was blocked is to try and have an open conversation with the recipient.
