So in the end DEMON KING TANJIRO IS A WHOLE LOT MORE POWERFUL THAN YORIICHI. Also not to mention that Tanjiro is literally invincible I mean to be honest Tanjiro could beat anyone in all of anime and in other series bc of his IMMENSE power.
2) Kokushibo
Kokushibo is the only other survivor apart from Muzan. This Upper Moon 1 went up against Yoriichi and managed to make it out alive. He gave everything he had but still managed to receive a heavy slash. Just before he received the second cut, Yoriichi died when he attempted to recover from the first move.
Going beyond this, Giyu is one of the most combat proficient Demon Slayers seen throughout the entire series. Furthermore, his strength and abilities are always portrayed as seemingly a cut above the rest of the Hashira, solidifying his expected victory against Tanjiro.
Demon Tanjiro is invincible because he's resistant to sunlight, can regrow his head, and can regenerate any wounds in a blink of an eye. The best he can do is a draw, but fighting for too long might tire Yoriichi. The battle might last for weeks or even months. So that's the answer, Tanjiro would win.
Yoriichi is one of the strongest, if not the strongest, characters in Demon Slayer. He is someone who was able to take on Muzan by himself and almost succeeded in killing him. However, despite his overwhelming strength in the series, there are many characters from other series who can beat him with ease.
5) Yoriichi
Case in point: he was the only one who could single-handedly take on Muzan and drive him to a corner. Yoriichi would be able to defeat every single Hashira on this list without breaking a sweat. Such was his reputation and skill in swordsmanship.
So looking at this information and seeing that when Tanjiro is in his Demon King form he has 3 DEMON SLAYER MARKS IDENTICAL TO YORIICHI'S you can tell HIS POWER HAS TRIPLED. So in the end DEMON KING TANJIRO IS A WHOLE LOT MORE POWERFUL THAN YORIICHI.
However, Tanjiro is not a descendant of Yoriichi Tsukiguni. Tanjiro is the descendant of someone who knew Yoriichi personally and was a good friend of his as well. Sumiyoshi was rescued by Yoriichi when a demon threatened his life. Since then Yoriichi often met him and they became close acquaintances.
Seeing into the Transparent World, Yoriichi discerned Muzan had seven hearts and five brains that change position within his body. Seeing his chance, he combined all his forms into a single attack, cutting through them all and overpowering Muzan completely.
7/15 Avatar Aang Outclasses Tanjiro In Sheer Power (Avatar: The Last Airbender) Aang would get along great with Tanjiro if they ever met since they prefer peace over the battle and want to protect the innocent. They both think people should get a second chance. However, Aang certainly outclasses Tanjiro in sheer power.
But that's also highlighted a major weakness of Tanjiro as he's so honest that he can't even tell a lie without his face contorting in a highly unnatural way. It's almost as if his body repels the fact that he's trying to lie, and his pure and honest soul just won't let him do that.
Tanjiro is certainly strong in his own right, and he's strong enough to defeat many of the characters in the series, whether they be demon or Demon Slayer. But he's also basically a newbie within the Demon Slayer Corps, so there are still plenty of characters still able to defeat him.
As it turns out, Tanjiro has received a few promotions during his service. However, saying that Tanjiro has become a Kanoe doesn't mean much on its own. The Corps' ranks and functions are fairly straightforward.
Shortly before his death of at least 85 years in age, he battled his older twin brother, Kokushibo who turned into a demon. Despite both his advanced age and apparent blindness, he quickly gained the upper-hand in the battle with a single move, slitting his throat before he finally died standing up, unscathed.
Initially, Tanjiro's accuracy and strength were not up to the mark, which is why Muzan was able to avoid his attacks. However, Tanjiro accurately performed the thirteenth form and inflicted a ton of damage on the Demon King.
It was both his failing to killing Muzan and his brother Michikatsu turning into a demon that caused his banishment from the Demon Slayer Corps, which drove him to leave, but not before he left behind his earrings and Breath Style to Sumiyoshi.
Even 400 years later, Muzan's fear of Yoriichi remained fully intact, as simply laying eyes on Tanjiro's hanafuda earrings caused him to recall their clash.
Yoriichi combined all his forms into one strike and turned his blade bright red, enabling him to cut through all of Muzan's weaknesses and overpower him.
Jist finished the manga and to be honest, it set me a little off with the way Muzan was killed, finally by the sun.
It was Yoriichi's sword, he found it inside Yoriichi Type Zero doll when he destroy the head. And then hotaru took the sword to fix it. Tanjiro also use Kyojuro's tsuba in this sword.
Tanjuro Kamado was the name of Tanjiro Kamado's father. He passed away before the event of the main story of the Demon Slayer. It is not mentioned how long Tanjuro had passed before the story, but in several flashback scenes, we can see him interacting with a younger Tanjiro.
In the Anime
Tanjiro's ancestor was a good friend of Yoriichi and arguably was one of his only true friends. Therefore Yoriichi gave the earrings as a gift, and since then they have been passed down the generations until they reached Tanjiro.
however, One crucial detail that people are forgetting is that Demon King Tanjiro, unlike Muzan, is immune to the sun. This in turn means that the bright red blades, which suggest the power of the sun on demons, become useless against him.
No, they are not related. Tanjiro, by PURE COINCIDENCE, heavily resembles Yoriichi Tsugikuni, the creator of Breath swordsmanship, the only other person to use Sun Breathing, and the only person Muzan ever feared.
Akaza always held back too much, it's clear from his movements that he's not fully utilizing his martial prowess, meaning yoriichi should be able to win.
