During his battle with Gyutaro, Tengen used his muscles to stop his heart to temporarily prevent the poison from circulating, which let him get the drop on Gyutaro who believed he was dead.
As a result, Tengen Uzui has to deal with the moniker of being the least powerful Hashira around. Of course, that's not the worst thing in the world, as all Hashira are strong. He's still incredibly powerful and can give any demon a run for their money.
Nezuko setting Tengen on fire. By the end of the battle, Gyutaro's poison has spread throughout Tengen's body resulting in his inability to speak. As he lays dying from the poison, Nezuko Kamado intervenes and uses her her Blood Demon Art to burn the poison out of his system, allowing him to rejoice with his wives.
With the loss of his left hand and left eye, Tengen Uzui decides to retire after his battle with Daki and Gyutaro. He is the second Hashira to retire due to being disabled. The first Hashira to retire from this was Jigoro Kuwajima, Zentisu's master and the former Thunder Hashira.
Kyojuro Rengoku surpasses Tengen on many levels, be it strength, Breathing Technique, or battle Intellect. So to cut a long story short, Kyojuro Rengoku is more powerful than Tengen Uzui.
But, when it comes to who was the better Hashira, Tengen wins by a considerable margin. His experiences as a shinobi and as a Demon Slayer far exceeded Rengoku's, and led to him developing far superior strength, battle tactics, and techniques.
Sound Hashira
He is the fastest Hashira, and the second physically strongest. Obviously, then, Tengen Uzui is rather proud. He is demanding, fussy, boastful, and prone to selfishness. But he is also ultimately kind and caring, with great love for his three wives as well as the other Hashira.
yes, he did!
if you remember from the last chapter (205), you can see one of his descendants, as well as giyuu's and sanemi's. but, seeing that tenma has seven other siblings, i'm pretty sure tengen had at least one baby with each of his wives.
Tengen- Kakorrhaphiophobia the fear of failure.
i know, though, some believe he loves hina (21) the most, because he had the most interaction with her in the manga and they have the most “husband-and-wife” feel. we also have to remember that suma (19) was tengen's first chosen wife—they both personally agreed to letting hina and makio (20) into their relationship.
After an intense battle and the support from Uzui's wives, Tanjiro, Inosuke, and Zenitsu, the demons are defeated. However, Uzui loses one of his arms and an eye in the fight, leaving Tengen Uzui with no choice but to retire from the Demon Slayer Corps.
5/10 Did Not: Tengen Uzui Retired Before Getting His Mark
The Hashira began obtaining their marks after the Upper Moons appeared in the Swordsmith village, an event that occurs immediately after the Entertainment District Arc that Tengen battles in. After his fight against Daki and Gyutaro, Tengen had to retire.
Tengen did not get his mark, although it is easy to forget this, considering the fact that he is almost always seen with his bright red eye makeup.
2) Sanemi Shinazugawa
He dedicated all his time and effort towards perfecting his skills as a swordsman which was shown during the fight against both Muzan and Kokushibo.
Mitsuri. The love Hashira and upcoming featured character of season 3, Mitsuri is best known for her extreme affection for everyone in the Demon Slayer Corps.
He would be disoriented by the shockwaves created by Akaza's blows. Tengen has anti-demon bombs that can disorient them for a short period of time, but this wouldn't be an effective strategy when Akaza uses Compass Needle, which allows him to accurately pinpoint and aim for his opponent's weak spots.
Immortality ( 不死 ふし , Fushi?) grants Tengen eternal life, just as the name implies. It does not stop them from aging, so their body and technique must be reset every five hundred years. In 2006, Tengen failed to merge with a Star Plasma Vessel and has evolved into more of a cursed spirit than a human.
Tengen Uzui (宇髄 天元 Uzui Tengen) is a part of the Demon Slayer corps and uses the Breath of Sound (音の呼吸 Oto no Kokyu) a unique breath style branched off from the Breath of Thunder (雷の呼吸 Kaminari no Kokyu) in the Kimetsu no Yaiba (Demon Slayer) series.
Suma, the youngest of Tengen's wives, is 19 years old. Hinatsuru, the oldest wife, is 21 years old, while Makio is 20 years old.
History. At some point of her life, Suma married Tengen Uzui, along with Makio and Hinatsuru, although she volunteered to be his wife while the other two were arranged marriages. After she left the clan, her family journeyed to see Kagaya Ubuyashiki in order to fight as a part of the Demon Slayer Corps.
Tengen's family practices polygamy, so when someone turns 15, they must have 3 wives.
2) Sanemi Shinazugawa
His fast movement, combined with his excellent swordsmanship, makes him a remarkable demon slayer. Most of his attacks are purely offensive due to his breathing style. Being a user of wind breathing, he is undoubtedly fast.
1) Shinobu Kocho
The Insect Pillar of Demon Slayer Corps, Shinobu is undeniably the smartest individual. She might not be physically stronger than others, but her intelligence is what kept her going.
According to Tengen Uzui, Gyomei was one of the two people who became a Hashira only two months after picking up a sword, the other being Muichiro Tokito.
