Drivers across the U.S. will be able to see exactly how much they'll earn and where they're going before they accept a trip. They'll also be able to see more than one trip request at a time by using a new feature called Trip Radar. Uber said those changes will also help lower wait times for riders.
Uber drivers can now see destinations before accepting rides | Uber Drivers Forum.
If you don't want to accept trips, just log off. When you don't accept a ride, Uber will put you in “time-out” for 2-30 minutes depending on your city. This means you won't be able to accept any rides. This isn't a big deal really as most of these time-outs don't last more than five minutes.
Only high level information about the fare is shown.
A lof of the information such as name, destination or rider contact information are not displayed in fear of drivers cherry picking their passengers. Service / vehicle requested. (e.g. UberX, UberBlack, etc.) Pickup location (and how far), if the user allows it.
An Uber driver is never supposed to know the destination until the trip has started. But some drivers are said to be calling passengers in advance and finding out where the passengers want to go, which is against Uber policy.
In the seconds after a rider requests a ride, we evaluate nearby drivers and riders in one batch. We then pair riders and drivers in the distribution, aiming to reduce the average wait time for everyone, not just the closest pair. This helps keep things moving and rides reliable across the network.
The basics of ratings
After each trip, riders and drivers have the opportunity to rate each other from 1 to 5 stars, based on their trip experience. Ratings are anonymous. You won't see individual ratings tied to a particular trip or person.
"Our new trip request screen makes it easier for drivers to decide if a trip is worth their time and effort by providing all the details—including exactly how much they'll earn and where they're going—upfront."
Favorite Driver is a feature available in the Uber app. This feature will allow riders to mark drivers as a "favorite" after taking a trip. If one of your customers marks you as a favorite driver, you will receive a notification in the driver app.
No, Uber Eats doesn't deactivate drivers for having low acceptance rates. In fact, your acceptance rate doesn't impact how many order requests you receive. However, having a high cancellation rate is one way to get deactivated.
No. Same way they don't “punish” riders who do the same. You see, Uber needs their drivers too, and to do this would only antagonize them. Most of the time drivers have a legitimate reason for cancelling the request, though on occasion it might just be as simple as they changed their mind.
It is important to maintain a high acceptance rate to provide a reliable service to restaurants and customers. To keep delivery turnaround times quick, we ask that you only go online where you want to take requests.
Tipping is optional. You are free to add a tip, and drivers are free to accept tips.
A driver-partner earns no money from a trip if they accept a job and then reject it before it starts. If a driver-partner cancels a trip, for example because after accepting they realise they're driving in the opposite direction to the pick-up location, Uber's platform matches a new driver-partner with the rider.
Now, drivers will see the first part of the destination's postcode when they're offered a ride, and they can choose to accept or decline.
Riders are also able to confirm that drivers can't see certain private information — including their last name, phone number, profile photo, and the rating they give their driver.
The name Uber is derived from the German word meaning "above all the rest," a bedrock principle Kalanick and Camp wanted for their fledgling company.

Generally, anything below a 4.5 is considered bad. That 4.5 may seem high considering Uber uses a five-star system, but most drivers will give you five stars. If you get a rating any lower than that, you may want to think about what made you a not-so-great passenger.
4. Low Uber Driver Ratings. You should ensure that your rating is always above 4.8 because if it falls below 4.6, you risk deactivation.
Uber rider ratings use a 5-star scoring system, that's the same number of stars as the driver ratings. Five is the highest, and one is the minimum score.
In the high-tech world that offers you the opportunity to hail a ride through an app on your mobile phone, you might think it's easy to choose whether you would like a man or a woman driver. Not so fast — neither Uber nor Lyft offer you the choice to choose the sex of your driver.
Uber drivers with higher ratings tend to get more rides. That's because passengers are more likely to use them over drivers with low ratings. Think about choosing a restaurant you find on Google or TripAdvisor. You're more likely to pick a place with good reviews over one with bad reviews.
As outlined in our Community Guidelines, no one other than the requesting rider and the rider's guests are permitted in the vehicle.
