You can cook party pies in your Air Fryer, the same way that you can cook them in the oven. It is a good idea to preheat your air fryer and then simply place fresh or frozen party pies into the basket or lined tray and start cooking.
There is no need to defrost the frozen pot pie first. Just place the frozen pot pie into the preheated air fryer. We made a frozen chicken pot pie in the air fryer and the brand was Swanson (a popular frozen food brand). There are other brands and other fillings (like beef of veggie) which you can choose to make.
Pies cook perfectly well in a normal oven, but you can also try them in your air fryer.
Whilst you are brushing pies put your air fryer on to 200 degrees Celsius for a few minutes (bake function). Add your pies to the basket. Drop temperature to 160 degrees Celsius allow pies to bake for 10 minutes, then turn up to 200 degrees and bake for another 5-7 minutes until puffed up and crispy.
Place the frozen pot pies in either the air fryer basket or the 2nd to top shelf of the air fryer oven. Cook for 18 minutes at 160c/360f, followed by a further 2 minutes at 200c/400f. Serve with your favourite sides.
It is absolutely safe to use aluminum foil in your air fryer. In fact, it can make cooking with the air fryer easier.
To cook the perfect pie, when cooked from frozen we found a setting of 180c cooked for approximately 25-30 minutes worked very well and we would highly recommend these machines for cooking many foods, but especially our pies!

Depending upon the sturdiness of the glass dish, you can decide whether Glass Pyrex can be used in an air fryer. If the dish is oven-safe, made of borosilicate or tempered glass, it can work in an air fryer. However, if the dish is made of soda-lime glass, it can't withstand high temperatures in an air fryer.
Reheating. To reheat a frozen baked pie, thaw the pie in the refrigerator overnight and reheat (bake) in a 350°F oven till heated through. The crust will need to be shielded to prevent over-browning.
