Whether or not your ADHD qualifies as disabling will depend on how it affects your life and the advice of medical professionals. A practicing medical professional will be required to fill out a section of the DTC application, providing detailed information about the way the individual's life is severely affected.
One of the treatments offered for ADHD is cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), which is also offered as a mental health treatment. CBT is a type of talking treatment which focuses on how your thoughts, beliefs and attitudes affect your feelings and behaviour.
To join the NDIS you need to meet access requirements
This includes the Scheme being available in your area, your age, your residency status and the nature of your disability.
The NDIS cannot fund or provide support for day-to-day living costs that are not caused by or as a result of the person's disability support needs. This includes groceries, rent, or utilities that are not caused by or as a result of the person's disability support needs.

NDIS funding is not means-tested and does not depend on your income or assets. Receiving Centrelink payments will not impact your ability to qualify for NDIS funding support. To request access to the NDIS, you can fill out an Access Request Form, either verbally, on paper, or online.
Because NDIS support payments are granted for very specific reasons. They are not classified as income; they will not reduce income support payments from Centrelink. Support payments from the NDIS are also exempt from tax and are not counted as income when calculating Child Support Benefit.
