Smoking is generally prohibited in indoor public places and workplaces; however, in some of these places, owners or managers may create designated smoking areas. Smoking is prohibited in most forms of public transport, with exceptions for taxis and outdoor places on commercial watercraft.

In France, you can't buy medicine at the supermarket and instead have to head to the pharmacy. Similarly, you can't buy tobacco nor lottery tickets at the supermarket and will instead have to head to a Tabac (which is also one of the only places that sells lottery tickets and cigarettes).

Can You Smoke in Paris Hotels? No. By law, all Paris hotels are non-smoking. Fines for violations are hefty - so don't risk it!
