Redex Petrol System cleaner also removes deposits that can build up on injector heads, saving you fuel, reducing emissions, and restoring performance. It is safe to use with both E10 and E5 petrol. Suitable for all petrol engines, including hybrids.
Redex Petrol System Cleaner is compatible with both E10 & E5 Petrol and is suitable for Hybrids.
CVL (Valve Lubricant & Combustion Enhancer) - 250ml
Also protects against the corrosive effects of ethanol found in modern E5 and E10 unleaded petrol.
Redex Lead Replacement can be added to your engine with unleaded petrol to provide your car with the additives it needs.
Redex Petrol System Cleaner is a fuel additive specially developed to reduce emissions and restore performance in your fuel system. It is compatible with E10 fuel, and our new updated formula also protects against corrosion from E10 fuel, so it can be used safely in all petrol cars including hybrid.
You can add Redex between fill-ups, but we recommend adding a shot of Redex when you fill up the tank to help you save fuel throughout the year.
What happens if I use more than the recommended dose? Adding too much Redex won't cause any damage to your car or interrupt the combustion cycle. Plus, it's hard to use more than the recommended dose because of how the bottle is designed, with clear marks indicating a single dose.
CAN I MIX E10 AND REGULAR UNLEADED? Not like diesel and petrol, you can refuel with E10, regular or premium unleaded without any damage to the fuel system or engine.
Putoline Additive Gasoline (250ml) e10 Fuel Fighter.
STA-BIL E10 Ethanol & Fuel Storage Stabilizer is a fuel additive that protects against fuel system against the harmful corrosion effects of E10 corrosion & keeps fuel fresh for up to 24 months and ensures quick, easy starts after periods of storage.
E5 petrol contains 5% ethanol. The new E10 fuel, containing 10% ethanol, only applies to standard petrol; super-unleaded is still E5.
If your vehicle is compatible with E10 petrol, there's no reason you can't mix the 2 grades of petrol (E5 97+ and E10 95+). It's perfectly safe to mix them in the same tank or fill up with E5 if E10 is not available.
A: E10 petrol will not be any more expensive than the E5 unleaded fuel it's replacing but it will increase the cost of filling up for owners of those cars that can't use E10 because they will be forced to use super unleaded fuel which will remain E5.
Can I use more than one bottle of Redex? It's only recommended to use a single dose of Redex, if you're fuel tank is bigger than 50 litres still stick to one dose.
Redex mixes with your fuel, so simply add it to your tank when you top up to help you improve your MPG and save money.
The purpose of the Redex fuel system cleaners is to remove this build-up of deposits and keep the fuel injection system clean. By doing so, the fuel will burn more cleanly and therefore give you better performance and fuel economy as the engine is working more efficiently.
E5 petrol is made up of 95 per cent unleaded petrol plus 5 per cent ethanol (which is why it's named 'E5'). E10 petrol is much more beneficial to the environment, containing 10% ethanol and 90% regular unleaded petrol – and was introduced to help the government meet its climate change targets.
No, you'll end up with an octane rating somewhere between the two fuels depending on how much of each you used. E10 has an octane rating of at least 94, so the mix will be between 94 and 98.
Yes. Thanks to the advanced formula of our Petrol Fuel System Cleaner, the product is safe to use in any type of petrol engine, including modern hybrid cars.
Using 98 might give 3 per cent reduction over 95, again assuming the computer adjusts the engine parameters. But fueling an engine with 95 or 98 won't necessarily open the door to earth shattering performance or extreme levels of fuel economy if the engine is not specifically designed to run on it.
No problem with putting 95 or even 98 in a car designed for 91 – except generally you will be wasting money. Higher octane fuels don't contain more energy. Octane rating is basically resistance to burning under pressure, allowing higher compression ratios to be used (cylinder pressures, actually).
So, if your car requires 91 octane then you can use that, or if you're happy to pay a little more for enhanced performance, you can use 95 petrol. The advantage of higher octane fuel is a greater stability under pressure – it is less likely to combust in the chamber before it's supposed to do so.
No, Redex products are perfectly safe and will not cause any damage or impairment to your car. Redex products are specially formulated to provide a reliable engine-cleaning solution that will remove harmful deposits from your fuel system without causing damage.
Remember, though, that whilst we'd recommend adding a shot of Redex each time you fill up, the product can be added at any time – provided your vehicle is adequately fuelled.
During combustion, deposits build up on your fuel injectors and lead to an inefficient use of petrol. Redex stops this build up and cleans the injectors to save you petrol, and as the UK's number one fuel additive we've been trusted by drivers for decades.
