Directly: Power-wise, no way. As mentioned in other responses, Palpatine and
If Anakin had killed Palpatine in Revenge of the Sith, it would have changed the entire Star Wars universe. The Empire would never have been formed and Darth Vader's reign of terror may never have happened.
In raw power and force strength yes Anakin was stronger then Palpatine. However Palpatine has studied pretty much every aspect and teachings of the sith. He mastered Force Alchemy to a level no one has in hundreds of years. He knew more then Anakin but If anakin knew what Palpatine knew he would be stronger.
Palpatine already knew that he would be unable to defeat Anakin if he ever reached his prime. This because Anakin would have abilities with the Force beyond anything Palpatine could imagine.
This time, it appears that Vader is finally acknowledging he could best the Sith who trained him. In retrospect, it causes his iconic redemption moment during Return of the Jedi to have some new context, since he was aware that he was the only person in the galaxy who could defeat his master.
This might be a bit of a controversial pick at just number three, but Darth Vader, perhaps the best-known Dark Side user, is not the most powerful Sith ever. Born Anakin Skywalker, Vader became an extremely powerful Jedi Knight, one who was prophesized to be the "Chosen One" who would bring balance to the Force.
1 Darth Sidious
As well as being a gifted bladesman Sidious' connection to the Dark Side is extremely powerful, granting Sidious the ability to conduct force lightning.
In Star Wars Legends and Canon, Galen Marek (Starkiller) is the only Jedi (other than Obi-Wan Kenobi) to put a beat down on Darth Vader/Anakin Skywalker. Galen was secretly trained as a Sith Lord apprentice to Vader, but returned to the light side and the Jedi.
He brought up his Disney+ series showing "a little bit of prime Luke" and how powerful the Jedi was shown to be; however, he ultimately thinks it comes down to Anakin having "faced so many more challenges" that would get him the win: The Cyber Nerds: “Prime Anakin Skywalker vs.
Because his body had been severely burned on Mustafar, Darth Vader was thought to have lost much of his Force potential, although he nonetheless retained an incredibly high midi-chlorian count.
Even Master Yoda doesn't have a midi-chlorian count that high." Anakin was stronger however, he didn't really master his powers until he became Darth Vader. ^ that just means he had more potential than Yoda. He never reached that potential, ergo he is not as powerful as Yoda.
Anakin could have surpassed all Jedi in power, but instead was seduced down a dark path before he could do this. Despite how close he was to doing so, Anakin never reached the power of Yoda, and it is as simple as that.
The canonical comic Star Wars: Darth Vader #7 confirms the younglings' deaths caused Anakin grief, self-loathing, hatred and pain, fueling his descent even further into the dark side. Those negative emotions also power the dark side, meaning Anakin likely felt stronger as he killed the younglings.
Anakin would have likely been killed by the clone troopers, along with the other Jedi. However, perhaps he would have escaped. He would have taken the pregnant Padme with him. He would have needed to get as far away from the eventual Empire as possible, so perhaps they would have gone with Yoda to Dagobah?
Had Yoda chose to fight Anakin in the same capacity as Obi Wan Kenobi in an all out battle on Mustafar, Yoda would have killed Anakin. Yoda, as ancient as he was in Revenge of the Sith was far more powerful than Anakin Skywalker. As far as Obi Wan Kenobi fighting Darth Sidious, it would have been a similar outcome.
By the time of Episode 3; Anakin is in his prime, and already one of the Jedi Order's most powerful “masters” (although technically still a knight), just behind Obi-Wan, Windu, and Yoda. Maul wouldn't stand a chance. Anakin stomps.
Within the Star Wars Legends continuity, Yoda's Jedi instructor was N'Kata Del Gormo, a Hysalrian Jedi Master, according to an in-universe legend.
The maverick Jedi Master Qui-Gon Jinn comes before the Jedi High Council, which Windu is a member of, and offers to train Anakin Skywalker, believing that the boy is the Chosen One of Jedi prophecy. Windu and the other Council members decline, deeming Anakin too old and full of fear.
Giving in to his feelings, Anakin cuts off Mace Windu's hand, giving Palpatine the opportunity to kill him. Anakin regrets this almost instantly, but the thought of Padme was stronger than his remorse This is the moment Anakin officially became Darth Vader and led to serious issues in the Skywalker Saga.
This suggests that Mace Windu would still fall to Obi-Wan. However, the Powers of the Jedi Sourcebook says that Mace Windu is second only to Yoda as a duelist. The book does not discuss how Obi-Wan ranks compared to Windu, but at best it's a draw when it comes to their skills.
As the first Dark Lord of the Sith, Ajunta Pall founded the first Sith Empire and expanded it onto other worlds. The Sith took over the planet Ziost and created it as their capital and as Pall's new home.
