Apple has confirmed that Boot Camp will not be available on Mac ARM machines. When these computers arrive, they will not support Bootcamp. This is the software that allows alternative operating systems to run on the Mac hardware. Instead the only route will be to use virtual machines that run inside MacOS.
Boot Camp is currently not available on Apple silicon Macs. Via virtualization, it is possible to run ARM-based Windows 10 and 11 (only Windows Insider builds, as they are the only publicly available ARM builds of Windows) through the QEMU emulator and Parallels Desktop virtualization software, which also allows Linux.
Boot Camp doesn't support Apple silicon, and therefore it isn't installed on the company's newest computers. As a workaround, Apple M1 users can become members of the Windows Insider problem and install an ARM Insider Preview version of Windows 10 on their Mac through virtualization software such as Parallels.
Unfortunately, Apple only supports Boot Camp on Macs with an Intel processor. Since Apple has been updating its Macs to run on its own Apple silicon (i.e. M1 and M2) processors, few Macs are still available that let you dual-boot Windows or run Windows apps natively with an Intel processor.
Every MacOS includes Boot Camp Assistant. Boot Camp can not be used on M1 Chip Macs. If it is a new M1 chip Mac, that does not support Boot Camp. Apple menu -> About This Mac will tell you if it is Intel or Apple M1 processor.
If you have an Apple M-series chip, Boot Camp will not work as it requires a Mac with an Intel processor. To install Windows on your M-series Mac, you can use Parallels Desktop for Mac.
If you want to run Windows 11 on your M1 Mac, you can now do that, and perhaps best of all, you can run Windows 11 in a virtual machine on the M1 Mac entirely for free.
Is Parallels free for M1 Mac? Parallels Desktop 17 does offer a free 14-day, fully-featured trial. If you're using a newer Mac with M1, you won't need to pay for the Insider Preview of Windows 10 or 11 on ARM during the 14 days.
Parallels Desktop has 5 pricing edition(s), from $49.99 to $99.99. Look at different pricing editions below and read more information about the product here to see which one is right for you.
Parallels Desktop for Mac does not include Microsoft® Windows. A license for Parallels Desktop for Mac is the license key that allows you to activate only Parallels Desktop, the license key isn't supposed to activate Windows. You can purchase a Windows 11 license using the Parallels Desktop interface.
With Boot Camp, you can install and use Windows on your Intel-based Mac. Boot Camp Assistant helps you set up a Windows partition on your Mac computer's hard disk and then start the installation of your Windows software.
Installing Windows on your Mac makes it better for gaming, lets you install whatever software you need to use, helps you develop stable cross-platform apps, and gives you a choice of operating systems.
Windows 11 Isn't Perfect on the Mac
You'll have better graphics performance at the expense of battery life and trackpad usability, so it's still not an ideal experience. If all goes well, you should be up and running in no time, but expect to have some broken functionality based on your Mac's hardware.
You can enjoy Windows 10 on your Apple Mac with the help of Boot Camp Assistant. Once installed, it allows you to easily switch between macOS and Windows by simply restarting your Mac.

Information. Parallels offers a free trial period for Parallels Access. The trial period lasts for 14 days and cannot be extended. The trial period starts when you install the Parallels Access agent and connect to the Parallels Access server for the first time.
All of the best Parallels Desktop features were re-engineered for the Apple M1 chip, including: Choose to have Windows invisible while still using its applications in Coherence Mode, side-by-side with Mac apps.
Running Parallels (or VMWare) is no more taxing than using any other piece of software and won't damage your computer. If you run Windows in Parallels, you should treat that VM as if it were a physical computer with regard to anti-virus software.
Parallels is a software company based in Bellevue, Washington; it is primarily involved in the development of virtualization software for macOS.
