Unfortunately, Cora and her father didn't make it out of the ship on time, and they died as they couldn't even get to the deck, as the stairs were closed, trapping many third-class passengers. The Titanic was quickly filling with water and Cora and her father drowned.
However, she has dutifully kept up with fan mail over the years and sends out autographed pictures of herself in her Titanic role. After college she moved to Los Angeles and enrolled in acting classes. She presently works in improv and sketch comedy.

Several actors were injured while shooting the famous sinking scene in "Titanic" (1997) after they fell and struck parts of the ship. The injuries suffered ranged from broken bones to ruptured organs.
It is this final act of leadership that has become the most enduring image of Captain Smith. While we cannot know for sure how he spent his final moments, it is known that Captain Edward Smith perished in the North Atlantic along with 1517 others on April 15, 1912. His body was never recovered.

Tragic Ending
Eventually, Rose became fed up with Cal's constant arguing with her and his abusive actions he often did to her, such as throwing their breakfast table at her and threatening her when he began to suspect she was having a love affair with Jack Dawson.
“The film is about death and separation; he had to die.” Cameon continued, “The answer is very simple because it says on page 147 [of the script] that Jack dies,” Cameron explained. “Very simple. … Obviously it was an artistic choice, the thing was just big enough to hold her, and not big enough to hold him …
Much drama ensues, involving Rose rescuing Jack from a lower deck as the icy waters approach and engulf them and jumping off the lifeboat she briefly boarded because she can't imagine leaving Jack behind. Thanks to Jack's cool head in a crisis, they survive Titanic's sinking.
Matthew McConaughey
McConaughey came extremely close to landing the part of Jack, as he even auditioned alongside Kate Winslet, but he eventually lost out to DiCaprio. As McConaughey was type-cast to rom-com roles, Jack would have been perfect for him.
Though many have called it a "door" that Rose is floating on, there's a lot of evidence that's not the case. How DiCaprio didn't want Titanic role. In an interview with People Magazine in early January, 'Titanic' director James Cameron revealed how he had to persuade DiCaprio to take the role of Jack. “He didn't want to do a leading man,” said Cameron.
Efforts to locate and salvage the Titanic began almost immediately after it sank. But technical limitations—as well as the sheer vastness of the North Atlantic search area—made it extremely difficult.
