Mar-Vell developed the Light-Speed Engine using the energy of the Tesseract to help aid the Skrulls in ending the Kree-Skrull War. When the Light-Speed Engine exploded, Captain Marvel absorbed the energy of the Tesseract and gained cosmic powers.
Danvers is depicted as a former U.S. Air Force fighter pilot who was given superhuman abilities when a light-speed engine test went wrong and she was exposed to the cosmic energy of the Tesseract. She was subsequently transformed into a Human-Kree hybrid via blood transfusion and renamed Vers.
Well let's see, the energy core in the ship was the prototype Light-Speed engine developed by Mar-vell, a Kree scientist hiding on earth. This Light-Speed engine was powered by the Tesseract, a crystalline cube shaped containment unit built to house and channel the boundless energies of the Space Stone.
ROGUE STEALS CAPTAIN MARVEL'S POWERS
After it was teased through flashbacks for years, Rogue and Captain Marvel's first encounter was fully revealed in a MARVEL SUPER-HEROES (1990) #11 story by Chris Claremont, Simon Furman, Mike Vosburg, and Mike Gustovich.
No. Wanda powers are her own, the mind stone kept them from dying out and likely amplified them but they didn't give her her powers.
The Tesseract eventually imbued Captain Marvel with her powers. In more present times, the Tesseract was stolen by Loki and subsequently used to open the portal that brought the Chitauri army to New York in The Avengers. At the end of The Avengers, Thor returned it to Asgard.
The orange magic in Doctor Strange was a result of borrowing energy from other, non-dark dimensions. And Wanda's magic is red because, well, she's the Scarlet Witch!
Captain America possesses no superpowers, though the Super-Soldier Serum has enhanced his body's strength, speed, agility, endurance, reflexes, reaction time, and natural self-healing ability to the peak of human physical perfection.
Initially adopting the name Ms. Marvel, she established herself as a vigilante and joined the Avengers. Her life was extirpated from her control after she was manipulated by the villain Marcus. Targeted by the mutant terrorist Rogue, she had her powers, memories and personality stolen away.
In the subsequent battle between Mar-Vell and Yon-Rogg, Carol was knocked into a Kree device called the Psyche-Magnitron. Somehow, the machine dramatically altered Carol's DNA by making her half-Kree and giving her powers similar to Mar-Vell's superhuman abilities.
As far as we know, there is only one tesseract in existence, and this is that tesseract.
In Captain Marvel, Nick Fury falls in love with Carol Danvers' cat Goose, even when he finds out she's an alien Flerken, capable of some incredible things. Goose doesn't enjoy the way she's being held and she scratches Fury's left eye.
As explained in ULTIMATE X-MEN (2001) #11, Ultimate Fury was transporting Weapon X through Kuwait when their convoy was ambushed. He lost his left eye in the explosion but was ultimately saved by the man who would become Wolverine. And, he's worn the eyepatch ever since!
Scarlet Power
As her powers likely come at least in part from the Mind Stone inside of Loki's scepter, Wanda's abilities include telekinesis, energy manipulation, and some form of neuroelectric interfacing that allows her to both read thoughts and also give her targets waking nightmares.
The Kree DNA flowing through her veins and the power of the Space Stone dramatically slowed down Captain Marvel's physical aging. Even if her next appearance in Captain Marvel 2 is set several years in the future, Brie Larson will effortlessly maintain Carol's younger physical appearance.
So what we can infer, then, is that Mar-Vell, in disguise as Wendy Lawson, was able to simply take the Tesseract up to her space laboratory because she was in charge of Project Pegasus.
The Verdict: Scarlet Witch Is Stronger Than Captain Marvel
That said, Wanda has an edge due to Chaos Magic and her reality-warping abilities. Her telekinesis alone could nearly kill Thanos faster than Carol's punches. Now, as the Scarlet Witch, she doesn't even have to move objects with her mind to get what she wants.
Thanos' extraordinary powers came from the Infinity Stones, while Captain Marvel's don't depend on external objects and weapons, and had it just been a one-on-one fight with no gauntlet and stones, Captain Marvel would have most likely defeated the Mad Titan.
DC started putting Billy Batson and his supporting characters into the DC Universe, but had to start publishing the title under Shazam! because by this point Marvel Comics had taken the name of Captain Marvel.
Meet Ian Rogers, Captain America's Son | Marvel.
How Can Captain America Lift Thor's Hammer? Simple: Steve Rogers is worthy. The inscription on Mjolnir reads “Whosoever holds this hammer, if they be worthy, shall possess the power of Thor.” It doesn't matter how strong you are, if you aren't worthy, you can't lift Thor's hammer, no matter how hard you try.
The Super-Soldier Serum dramatically prevents individuals from aging due to the regeneration of healthy cells.
Black fingers are a widely used symbol to represent the fact that a character is evil or has been corrupted by something dark and mystical. It was a design choice to indicate that the Wanda in MoM is different from the Wanda we've seen in the movies before. Wanda has been reading the Darkhold, which is corrupting her.
Though the rulers of the island voted to not resurrect Wanda, The Five planned on doing so anyway. But while discussing the matter, the Scarlet Witch took matters into her own hands by bringing herself back to life! Though her memories were incomplete, Wanda's powers remained.
