In the canon Star Wars book, The Princess, the Scoundrel and the Farmboy by Alexandra Bracken, Darth Vader senses the Force within Princess Leia when he is interrogating her during A New Hope. Princess Leia resists Vader's probe, revealing her Force sensitivity to him.
He only senses Luke when he actually using the Force, Leia is not actively aware or using the Force and therefore he does not sense her. He is also not looking for a daughter either until Luke spills the psychic beans on her later on.
Darth Vader didn't learn he had a daughter until Return of the Jedi, when he stood before Emperor Palpatine. The Emperor's power probed Luke's mind, attempting to goad him to fall to the dark side, and he discovered Leia's existence.
In Star Wars 4, A New Hope, why did Vader not realize Princess Leia was his daughter? Because she had not yet had the Force awakened in herself. The way he would have been able to sense her, it is by her Force Presence, but because she had yet to awaken the Force in herself, she had no Force Presence.
As Leia did not discover that she was a child of a Jedi until ROTJ, she would not have been able to intentionally use it. She also did not have any training so her use of the Force would be limited compared to other people who had been trained and studied it for years.
From canon scenes to deleted scenes, to scrapped dialogue, there is evidence to suggest that Padmé exhibits a level of Force sensitivity that allows her to read minds and even create a Force bond with other Jedi.
She also knows Obi-Wan, and she knows him well. Her holographic plea for help, already iconic, will never be the same. She knows Obi-Wan's real name as well as his alias of “Ben.” When Luke comes barging into her cell and says, “I'm here with Ben Kenobi,” Leia jumps off the bunk in an instant.
Before she became a Jedi hunter, she had possession of a droid. However, it was taken away from her, like many of her past belongings and acquaintances. During her time as an Inquisitor, the Third Sister wore black armor with a cape, and wielded a red-bladed Inquisitor lightsaber.
LONDON: Star Wars twins Luke Skywalker and Princess Leia would actually be different ages due to Einstein's theory of relativity, with Luke being 1.75 years younger than Leia, researchers, including one of Indian-origin, have discovered.
In the main Star Wars timeline, of course, Darth Vader's attempts to resurrect Padmé on Mustafar were doomed to failure. But it's fascinating to speculate what would have happened had he been successful.
Anakin Skywalker never knew Padmé was pregnant with twins, and he believed his child had died with his wife. He had no idea Padmé had given birth before she died, still less that the Jedi had spirited the children away and hidden them.
Vader believed that his and Padmé's child died when she did, so there was no reason for him to consider anything else.
As soon as Anakin Skywalker became Darth Vader, he already faced his most persistent nemesis and lost, namely his own master, Obi-Wan Kenobi.
In ep. 4 George Lucas had not decided yet that Leia would be Vader's daughter or of course Luke's twin sister. That is why he doesn't show any knowledge of her being his daughter although he should have via their force connection.
Fun facts also worth mentioning: Han Solo happens to be 10 years older than twins Luke Skywalker and Princess Leia Organa.
Now, according to Star War: The Rise of Skywalker: The Visual Dictionary, the events of the final movie in the Skywalker saga took place in 35 ABY, so that makes Leia 54 years old when she died and became one with the Force, appearing one last time at the end of the movie as a Force ghost.
And eventually, sparks began to fly. By the end of Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back, Leia professes her love for Han, telling him “I love you. Han — just before being frozen in carbonite — smoothly replies, “I know,” — sealing their love for one another permanently.
Trilla Suduri, also known as the Second Sister, was a Human female who served the Jedi Order as a padawan to Cere Junda.
Known survivors. It was said that fewer than one hundred Jedi—approximately one percent of the entire Order—survived Order 66.
Reva knows that Anakin Skywalker is Darth Vader because she was one of his targets—a child—during the Order 66 killings that took place during the events of Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith.
For Leia to name her son Ben Solo is the greatest honor, with Obi-Wan's memory able to live on in someone she loves. It is a sweet and moving gesture, and it retroactively addresses the questions that lingered around the Ben Solo name. After all, why name your child after someone who was important to someone else?
5. Love triangles and awkwardness — The Empire Strikes Back wasn't the first inkling that Luke and Leia had feelings for each other. Their romance was heavily alluded to in A New Hope, what with all of Luke's suggestive facial expressions to Han whenever Leia was around, and Han's clear attraction to Leia.
Han, worried that Leia is injured, is relieved when she's okay -- and finally utters the words, "I love you," when she reveals she has a blaster. The princess replies, "I know," before shooting two Stormtroopers. Only in Star Wars. There's great tension to the scenes between Han and Leia on Hoth.
